Minkpaw's hunting and battle training

Brambleclaw and Minkpaw were in the forest. "Today we're going to do your hunting and battle training. First, let's start with hunting. This is how you do the hunters crouch." he said showing him. "Now you have to be very careful and start stalking your prey without scaring it away." he said while pretending to stalk a mouse and then pretending to pounce. "Now you try." he mewed to Minkpaw

Minkpaw nodded and showed Brambleclaw his crouch, Body low, tail upish so he did not hit any thing while moving, ears down, front and back legs under body. Minkpaw moved to where the thing BrambleClaw used as mouse. He pounced and looked at Brambleclaw. "Is that how?" He asked waiting for a 'No'

"That's perfect! You're a natural!" he said amazed by how quickly he learned that. "I think you should go on and start to hunt real prey." he said

Minkpaw took a deep breath. "Okay!!" He purred happily. "What will we hunt?"

ic: "When your hunting you have to be a little bit more careful. I smell a mouse. Watch me carefully." he whispered to his apprentice. As he stalked the mouse he was within distance when he suddenly pounced.

Minkpaw nodded and moved to a spot and he looked around, Minkpaw saw a brown body, a plump mouse. He salked to it a pounced...

Minkpaw pounced and missed as it slipped under his paws, he tried grabbing it again but it slipped away. "I missed Brambleclaw... It slipped" He sighed looking down in disgrace.

"Don't worry about that. You'll catch much more. Besides this was your first time. I also miss prey sometimes even though I'm a warrior. Mistakes happen, now try again." he said encouragingly

Minkpaw nodded "Okay!" He said with happyness in his tone. "I can't smell any thing... I think we scared off all the prey be out talking.." He said wa;ling ahead, a bit father up the path Minkpaw smelled a snake, Minkpaw slaked up to it and pounced...
