Playing in the Snow

Dapplefern padded sleepily into the snow, shaking the moisture off her paws with each step. She gave up and at down, looking at the blanket of snow, at least a couple paw-lenghts high.(Is that a term?) She found a spot above the snow cover ground and sat on it. It was a beautiful sight, kits playing and a hunting party coming back.

Morningpaw came and bounced over to Dapplefern, it had been a while since she had last seen her. "Hi!" She exclaimed, happily.

Dapplefern swept her fluffy tail. "Hello Morningpaw!" she purred. "It's good to finally get out of the nursery!" She sat up, yawning. "Wanna play a game?" she asked, getting low.

Morningpaw twitched her ears when she heard the word game. Even though she was now an apprentice, she still acted like a kit. "Sure!" She purred excitedly.

"It's a quiz game. If you get it right, hit me with snow, if you get it wrong, I hit you. Got it?" she purred, loving how the apprentice acted like a playful kit, fresh out of the nursery.

"Mhm," She said, shaking with excitement. "Let's go, let's go, let's goooo."

She thought of a question... 'Hmmm, name at least three battle moves." she meowed, starting off easy,

"Uhm, is it Leap-and-hold, belly rake, and front paw strike?" She asked, testing the snow just in case if she got it wrong.

Dapplefern protected her stomach and nodded.

BIC: Morningpaw giggled then scuffed a bit of the snow onto Dapplefern.

She chuckled and settled down to think. "How long should a warrior wait to be apprenticed?"

"Uhm, uhm.. Is it a week?" She guessed, she honestly didn't know the answer to that one.

"No." Bluefur meowed as she padded up to Morningpaw. "But good guess." She licked her apprentice's head.
OCC: Morning, have i taken you on boarder patrol yet?

Dapplefern nodded. "Hello, Bluefur." she mewed, sweeping her tail, spraying snow at Morningpaw. "Very good guess. How long would it take, BLuefur." She thought Morningpaw shoud hear from her mentor.

Sarrowpaw padded outside and layed down besides the three cats, letting the sun warm her dark furred pelt as she watched.
