Prisoner or a guest?

Shrikekit looked at it, tail lashing. He said nothing.

Shade began batting the moss ball in the air. He kept it from hitting the ground, hoping to gain the attention of the kit.

Shrikekit squeaked. "Mine!" he yelled, stealing the moss.

Scarletkit gave a nod, and was quick to leap in the air. Her paws flailed around as she reached for it, but she ended up crashing down on her back. Shrikekit seemed to have gotten it, and she scrambled up and charged after him. "Grr! Give it!" she meowed playfully, beginning to try to grab his tail.

Shrikekit bounded down the slope, and back up, in a circle, chanting: "Nah nah nah nah naaah!"

Shade purred. "Whose litter are they?" he asked curiously.

Scarletkit, after awhile, noticed his trick and stopped abruptly. She crouched down, wiggling her rump, and pounced as he came bounding towards her. "Hah! I gotchu now!" she mewled as her paws landed firmly on the ground. Fox-dung! I missed! I'm gonna have to aim better! Scarletkit dropped down into a crouch and lashed her tail about, her small eyes following him.

Shrikekit was almost caught, and changed his method to a zig zag pattern.

Darkpaw watched Shrikekit and Scarletkit play. He figured that he probably couldn't join their game though, seeing as he was an apprentice and was supposed to be doing training, or some sort of tasks, but seeing as his mentor hadn't been feeling well recently, he didn't really have anything to do

Shade looked to Darkpaw. "Why don't you play too?" he asked.

Scarletkit became dizzy, her eyes flying around as he sped around crazily. Her eyes finally locked onto him, and she pounced, arms outstretched (or whatever ._.), and got ahold of his tail. She clamped her jaws on his black-tipped tail and tugged. "Give.. me.. the.. mossball!" she hissed through clenched teeth.

"I'm an apprentice" Darkpaw said."Apprentices arn't really supposed to play around like kits". He sighed. Life was boring when he couldn't train or play

"But I don't see why not." Shade purred. "You're still pretty young. You shouldn't be restricted from that."

"Yeah" Darkpaw said "But apprentices are supposed to do things like train with their mentors, so they arn't supposed to have free time to spend playing with kits"

Shade cocked his head. "But when a mentor is not training you?"
