Nightkit and Celestiakit's Punishment

Having overheard the argument with Leopardheart and two kits, Deadfrost awoke at dawn and called into the nursery, "Celestiakit! Nightkit!" It was time for their punishment, he was sure. Elders liked to be cleaned at dawn. He'd thought he could supervise them.

Nightkit woke up with a start and flew out of the nursery not because of Deadfrost but because he smelled like the thunderpath and the last thing he remembered was trying to cross the thunderpath back onto thunderclan teritory, a few moments later a thud was heard as he ran headfirst into a tree,he looked around dazed and thought out loud "huh I guess it was a dream, but then why do I smell like the thunderpath in my dream" "but then that means..."

Celestiakit walked up behind her older brother. "It wasn't a dream. Now we have to go care for the elders."

"Ugh so thats why I reek"mewed Nightkit

Celestiakit playfully fluffed up the fur on Nightkit's head. "I haven't seen any elders. Do you think they're nice?"

"I don't know but I'm suprised that there are even cats within a few fox lengths of me" mewed Nightkit as he attempted to wash himself

"Well, I know you're supposed to respect your elders, but I honestly think they can get their own prey. They still have seasons of strength ahead of them." Celestiakit started grooming her own fur.

"Shhh before you get us in more troble" Nightkit hissed only loud enough for Celestiakit to hear "they're elders because they've done enough for the clan already"

Leopardheart, who was sitting nearby, flicked her ear to show that she had heard the insult.

"I can't believe what you to done!" the angry voice of Snowclaw mewed "I was looking all over for you! Then I heard you had been on the Thunderpath! I nearly died!" she mewed

Nightkit just hung his head in shame."I'm sorry moma" he mewed

Snowclaw seen the sadness in his eyes."Its ok.You didn't mean it" she mewed

"I'm not trying to be rude to the elders, but I honestly don't think they get to sit around all day. It's fun to hear stories though."

Deadfrost sighed. "Listen. I know you think this is bad, but just look at my scars. I almost got killed by either rogues or badgers. Leopardheart is just trying to do what's best for your future."

Snowclaw remembered the last time she had encountered rogues.She shivered.She had lost some of her ear and nearly got killed.She had only been an apprentice then.She shook her head and went back to reality
