Pinestar padded into the Apprentices' Den and poked her head inside. "Ahem. I still haven't forgotten your whereabouts the other day. Come out. Time for your punishments." she demanded to the apprentices. She sighed. She wasn't as calm and happy as she was before. Was being a leader making her more strict?

Silverpaw slowly padded out. Her tail drooped, her ears were flat, and her head faced downward. Pinestar seemed so much nicer when she let me join...
She didn't know where Icepaw was and she didn't care either. Silverpaw just knew that she was in lots of trouble-a bad way to start a life in a new Clan.

That rogue could've hurt you, and I don't want two fine apprentices getting hurt, got it? Now.. Icepaw.. you will clean the Elders' Den. Silverpaw.. you go clean the Apprentices' Den." She thought she was being too rough on them.. Nah! They should know better! Especially Icepaw.. what's gotten into her, anyway?

Pinestar sighed. She hated to see them so glum. This wasn't good.. although work isn't supposed to be fun.

After the apprentice's work was finished (finally)...

Pinestar called the two apprentices, her calm side showing now. She waiting for both of them to pad up tiredly before purring, "you two did well. I know that you aren't really supposed to reward for doing a punishment.. but.." She gazed at the fresh-kill pile. "You two've earned it. Go ahead."
