Deathkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Deathpaw laid down and touched her nose to the stone, copying her new mentor. She closed her eyes, and her consciousness drifted away.

Deathpaw's eyes snapped open. She remembered this place. She had been here once before with Leopardheart, ThunderClan's deputy. It was a dark forest, the trees bare of leaves, and no hint of prey on the wind. Suddenly, her mother was standing in front of her. "Mother!" Deathpaw cried. She bounded forwards to touch noses with her mother. They touched noses, and Tigerfrost stared down at her daughter with cold pride in her eyes. She stepped back and looked her daughter in the eyes. "Deathpaw. From now on, you will be the emissary of the Dark Forest in the clans. You will serve the Dark Forest, and you will listen to our advice. We will visit you in you dreams with further guidance. Farewell, my daughter. Remember your vow." Tigerfrost flicked her tail, and Deathpaw opened her eyes to see the Moonstone in front of her. "Ebonyroot? In my dream-"

Ebonyroot blinked her eyes back open, now understanding her confusion as she gazed up into the stars. A warning. She turned to see Deathpaw awake and surprisingly swept her tail over her mouth before the young apprentice could finish.

She guided her out of the Mothermouth. "What was it?" She muttered.

"Am I not supposed to talk about my dream?" Deathpaw asked curiously.

She shook her head. "The words of StarClan are meant to be shared and unveiled amongst the Medicine Cats." Perhaps she was thinking of the traditional ceremonies of the leaders.

OOC: I thought MCA dun share thier first dream...?

IC: A dark whisper in Deathpaw's mind warned her not to say what had really happened in her dream. "I... I saw cats from StarClan. I saw Jaystar and Moonsage. They called my new name."

I honestly do not know... o -o Oh well.

Disbelief swept over Ebonyroot, hearing her studder and by her tone, but she forced a smile. "Well, that's wonderful." The she-cat purred. "You should feel honored. Something tells me those two are lazy fur-balls even in StarClan..." With that, the she-cat turned her tail and headed back to camp, leaving Deathpaw to follow.

Deathpaw followed after her mentor. She knew she had not fooled Ebonyroot. But she hoped her mentor just suspected she did not believe in StarClan, instead of allying their sworn enemies.
