Demonpaw's assessment

Demonpaw could now see the rat completely and was slightly happy that it was relitavly small. What she didn't like was the fact that within seconds, the rat was airborne and on her back, biting into her shoulderblade. Shaking him loose, Demonpaw used her fright as a power source and stepped on the rats neck until she was sure it was dead. Blood ran down her shoulder.

Shadowsong, seeing the blood from the wound on Demonpaw's shoulder, jumped out from her hiding spot. "I know I shouldn't be coming out from hiding, but are you okay?" She asked.

Demonpaw couldn't meet her eyes, "I-I'm fine." she said softly.

"Okay..." She meowed, but she wasn't convinced. "Do you want to continue, or go back to camp? Because you've done very well today!"

Demonpaw hesitated, "But..if I finish now, I won't pass." she had already lost feeling in her shoulder.

"I'm sure that you would pass even if you haven't really gone all day. You've done a fantastic job so far, and your shoulder looks pretty bad." She replied worriedly.

Demonpaw glanced down. "I-I...I can't feel my shoulder."

"Oh, yeah. We need to get you to Ebonyroot..." She said, quite concerned. "Can you walk? If not you can lean on me. We just need to get you back, fast."

"I can walk." Demonpaw said, her voice laced with more attitude then needed. "Ill be able to make it." wincing in pain, she put pressure on her leg, surprised to see it still spported her.

"Alright. Well then let's go." She replied as she started to head back to the camp, but she kept an eye on Demonpaw.

Demonpaw followed slowly behind, trying to ignore that fact that her shoulder was now matted with blood.

When they finally got back to the camp, the first thing Shadowsong did was look for the medicine cat. "Ebonyroot!" She called out.

Ebonyroot heard a small shriek from the comfort of her head; She recognized the voice at once, it had the same ring of urgency as the day her father died. "Shadowsong!" She called back, coming out at once. "What's wrong?"

Demonpaw managed a smile, "Nothing big Ebonyroot, just tore up my shoulder."

"Pretty bad, though." Shadowsong finished. (epic fayul post..)
