Hazelkit flicked her ears."What?You know it to!"she insisted.

A yellow she-cat with light brown markings on her ears,paws,neck,and stripes on body and tail solidafied before Lightiningeye and Hazelkit,she new comer dipped her head to both of them and gave Nightkit a lick on the head that soothed the kit

Lightiningeye was purring at the sight of her mother,"Hazelkit,this is Sandnose,the cat who was once my mother many many moons ago,"she put down both kits under her chest to keep them dry and sat down for a moment

Sandnose gave her daughter a nudge,"I'm not that old!" she teased

"Wow!"the kit mewed sarcastically rolling her eyes."My brains messing with me" she mewed grooming her chest and tail."Hey,what's this?"She tugged at a tick that wouldn't come of.She hissed a bit through it and spat out blood."Eww!"

Sandnose saw that the head of the tick was still attached to Hazelkits skin,she padded over and licked it,and it fell to the ground,she looked up and touched her nose to the kits muzzle,the tart taste of blood was gone

"More mind-tricks!"the kit burst out.

"Aww,Hazelkit!"a black-cat mewed.Now she was only visible to Hazelkit.She raced up and touched the kits muzzle with hers.

"MOMMY!".the kit was so happy."OW!".A vision of a shadowed cat pushing Mosspaw out of a tree hurt.

Stonepaw was on a branch on the other side of camp and his feet touched the water Stinepaw tried not to yowl and tried to stay calm.

Snakefire heard the meling of help from his apprentce,I've let one slip away .But not this one! he thought as he plunged into the water and fought againt the current to the grey tom. He groped around for him and found the went mass on a log,"You..alright?",he panted.
