Lilacbreeze looked away and licked her black paw.

Deadfrost's worst-torn ear tilted. "For what?" He cast an apologetic glance at Lilacbreeze. He'd felt loveless pain before.

"For... for leaving you." She said, looking away. "I left you and ended up with someone who never loved me. And now I have to have the brutes kits." Featherfall said, a tear dripping from her muzzle.

Deadfrost grew silent, deep in the reaches of his own mind. And he sighed. Somehow he figured this would happen. "Find someone else. There won't be anyone who won't take you. I'm..with Firefly currently. I can't just leave her. But you will find someone." He licked her ear, as a friend. He turned to Lilacbreeze. "And so will you, some day. But as for now, you have a Clan to look after. You will make ShadowClan's best leader."

Featherfall smiled. "I don't know.. Maybe someday. For now I have to watch over my Clan." She said, holding her tear stained muzzle higher.

Ooc: No fair Feaths this will be your jillionth mate and I haven't had ONE D: I guess i'm just the kind of person people wouldn't want for their mate or whatever.

Lilacbreeze stared at Dead, her eyes taking in his words. However she knew no one wanted to be her mate, she was to strongwilled. Infact she probably would never have a mate for one reason...
"I have something to tell you guys. I guess the reason I have never had a mate is because.. I-i can't have kits." She mewed smally and hid her eyes in shame.

Ooc 2: Sorry to direct the topic to me again.... buuuuuut I wanted to spice it up :)

OOC: ...Yeah, it's true. She's not my mate since Fire told Dead about her kits, basically.

Deadfrost tilted his head. "That's nothing to be ashamed of, you know. There are many she-cats without kits and without a mate. I had no mate once...but the point is, you have your Clan. You are deputy, correct?"

Lilacbreeze shot him a look, her eyes blazing with anger for really no reason. "I suposed, I'm just so... lonely. I don't have many friends and to think I will have a mate sickens me." She mewed with a cough to emphasize her sickness.

Deadfrost's heart still lay with Featherfall, no matter he was her mate or not. But he knew she and he could never be together again, perhaps in another era. He laid his tail on Lilacbreeze's shoulder. "You have friends that respect and like you."

She shook her head, "You wouldn't know. Perhaps you two are my friends... but not any others. I am not the mate type anyway." She snapped in a sad tone.

Deadfrost cast his gaze to the stars that twinkled above. "It's better than emotional scars. I bear so many I forget the number." His voice was reduced to a murmur.

"that\'s not true." She snapped back looking away painfully not wanting to explain her lonely situation. She longed to have a mate and kits of her own so bad.

He turned to her. "Yes, it is." His voice was somber. "I've lost my father, my son, one of my daughters, my apprentice, and I'm...not doing all that well with Sunset. And Shiningpride is never around."

Lilacbreeze stared at him, her eyes icey with anger. "But that\'s just it, I have watched everyone I have come close to die. Maybe that adds to the reasion I don't have a mate!" She mewwed quietly, feeling worse than she did earlier.
