Hanging Around

Deadfrost hopped onto the Great Rock and dozed in the growing sunlight. Spring was coming, and he was happy that it was finally going to be warm again.

Featherfall watched from a bush, her blue eyes glittering.

Deadfrost was aware of eyes watching him, and his eyes opened lazily. "Who's there?"

A pair of sparkling purple eyes appeard behind him. The sly she-cat watched him quietly, staying down wind so he couldn't catch her Shadowclan smell.

Featherfall slid gracefully out of her bush. "Just me." She smiled, her eye taking on a brighter blue than normal, making them look like a piece of the sky.

Deadfrost almost flinched. "Hello." He flicked his tail around idly. Shouldn't Bramblestar be with her? he thought bitterly. He scented ShadowClan slightly, but it wasn't Bramblestar

Suddenly purple, sparkly eyes that shimmered like the moonstone at times, appeared brighter that behind the bushes. It was matched with fluffy white furred face with a black nose and ears. It was sweet and kind, something you would see from a sibling. "Featherfall! Pleasure to see you!" A voiced called, as sweet as her eyes. Suddenly a black paw appeared slipping out revealing the rest of the small-than average deputy. The deputy appeared next to Deadfrost and sat down, the feisty she-cat small compared to the tom. "And you are..?" She asked trying to match the face with a name. Her mind suddenly blank.

Featherfall smiled at her new found friend, and walked over to Great Rock, looking a little plumper than usual. She caught the eyes of Deadfrost and Lilacbreeze on her. "The preys been running greatly." She explained, sitting and grooming her paws.

Lilacbreeze smiled and licked her black paw matted with mud. "I see. I wish Shadowclan would be that lucky!" She mewed slyly back with a blink.

Deadfrost resumed his spot. "ThunderClan's prey is well, too," he murmured. "And I'm Deadfrost. You are Lilacbreeze..?" the ravaged tom inquired.

Lilacbreeze eyed Deadfrost suspicously, she had only heard his name around camp. She never felt the same about Thunderclan Cats, because when she was a kit she had heard not the best things about them. SUddenly she snapped back into the real world and blinked, "Yes.' She replied blankly, not feeling to cozy around the warrior now. She probably wouldn't unless he proved himself as a nice person.

Deadfrost seemed to sense the ShadowClan cat's disturbance. He sighed quietly. "I'm rather unsettling, no?" There was a hint of amusement in his voice now. "Don't worry, I have nothing against ShadowClan really... just one of you." He stopped his moving jaw and quieted.

Featherfall looked to Lilacbreeze, and away from Deadfrost. "Fallenpaw's almost ready to become a warrior. Maybe Rainstar will permit you to come join the ceremony." she said. "Ill put in a god word for you."

The extremely young warrior raised a purple eyes at Featherfall. Why in StarClan did she want her to go to some apprentice ceromony anyway? "But Featherfall! Why would you do that? I'm really not the best person to choose!" She mewed quietly taking Deadfrost's comment into consideration. Lilacbreeze licked her paws looking for something to make the moment less uncomfortable for her.

Featherfall laughed. "I was talking to Deadfrost, silly furball." She said playfully.
