Well Don't Get Lonely Now

When Swiftheart had agreed to the secrecy so many moons ago she did not realize what all that would entail. Sure, she had been a mum before but pretending to be a mum to a litter was very different at first. At first, she had a really hard time with it, trying to fake everything and the nerves of being discovered.  She had agreed to all this to protect her beloved friend Heather the medicine cat who was now long lost. Juni her daughter had been incredibly sweet and Swiftheart learned to relax a lot more around her litter thanks to the bond that herself and Juni had formed.

With Hollow's return now as well, Swiftheart wanted to make up for lost time both due to her own initial hesitation of getting close to the litter and Hollow's disapperence. Now days, especially after what happened with Juni she was more confident that she could be Hollow's mum.  She had almost told Juni the truth, but when Juni began to cry in their heart to heart conversation she couldnt bear to share the truth to her.  Juni's death was painful and she wanted to be sure to be there for Hollow now more than ever. She finally felt like she belonged in this family, she just wished she had felt this earlier before everything had begun to fall apart, ever the optimist she was still focused on trying to save what was left.


"Hollow, dear?" she purred going over to her daughter's familiar scent as she called after her.
She spotted her and smiled happily flicking her tail energeticlly "do you wanna go for a patrol?"
"I want to be around for you more now ... I'm sorry I was not as much in your youth" she whispered. It felt like the only move, she could try her best from here but the truth was she wouldn't even blame Hollow if she wanted nothing to do with her from here on out, it was not like she had been the best mum during the litters kithood due to the stress of trying to keep the secret in and having to pretend to be with Sablestrike in public even though the two of them were just friends, it was all a lot to try and manage on top of being a fake mum... a lot of that stress was gone now however and her new mindshift was healthier now too.  She no longer felt like she was lying when she said that they were her kits.
