Mistyflash was unusually quiet as she set off on a hunting patrol with Honeybee. The other warrior was a denmate, of course, but Mistyflash didn’t know her all that well. She awkwardly spoke up. “So… I’m sorry about your mentor disappearing. I mean, he was my dad, so I get it, ugh I worded that badly. I’m trying to be sympathetic, dang it!”

Honeybee was happy to be on patrol with Mistyflash, though she didn't know her denmate all that well. That could be changed, though. She was Lighttail and Stoatclaw's kit, and her parents were good cats.
"I'm alright. It's alright." she couldn't help a quiet chuckle. The other warrior was certainly awkward, but Honeybee just chalked it up to the street of that situation. "I'm sorry you lost your father. That has to be really hard."
The wind shifted, and Honeybee turned as she caught the scent of a squirrel. Dropping into a crouch, the warrior stalked toward it. With a powerful leap the prey was dispatched and subsequently buried. "When he was present he was a goof mentor... Tour mother helped me a lot with my training too."
Honeybee attempts to catch a squirrel for -4ep. Catch successful.

Mistyflash nodded. “They talked about you sometimes. I guess we just ran with different friend groups.” The scent of a squirrel caught her attention and in a flash, she was up a tree.
She came down shortly afterwards with her catch. “You know what? I can’t imagine being in a clan that doesn’t get to eat squirrel all the time. Did you know ShadowClan eat frogs?
Mistyflash caught a squirrel!

They talked about her? Well... She supposed that made sense given how often Lighttail had helped her in her training. Indeed, outside of spending time with some of Mistyflash's siblings when they were still kits, Honeybee's social circle had mostly kept to her own siblings and cousins. "I guess we did. I should probably get to know more clanmates than just my family." She said. Her family was only like... Half the clan. But that still left the other half of the clan that she didn't know all that well.
"Squirrels are good," She agreed, "I can't imagine what frogs would taste like... Probably chewy." The idea of eating that made her shiver, but far be it from her to openly judge. "Of course we have the best prey and the best territory. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else."
Spotting a bird in the branches above, Honeybee scrambled after it. She was no longer a fresh apprentice, that was for sure... And it showed in the ease with which the bird was caught. Grinning, she dropped back to the rocky forest floor, glancing toward Mistyflash.
Honeybee attempted to catch a bird for -4 ep. Catch successful.
