Knife to the Heart [Open Hunting]

It did not take long for Elmstorm to start joining patrols again, although notably he no longer left camp alone. He also stuck to areas away from fourtrees. That was easy enough, seeing as the only reason he would ever need to go there was for a gathering, anyway.

Today he was supposedly on a hunting patrol, although he couldn't help but look for more than simply prey. Maybe he could find either of his parents on their way home. Or maybe one of the missing apprentices, not knowiung how close they are to home, as unfamiliar as RiverClan territory would be.

What he did end up finding, though, was a frog, most likely having come from the river. Not one of his favorite pieces of prey, but prey nonetheless. And honestly, anything was better than a rat.

If he never saw one of those naked tails again, it would be too soon.

Surging forward, Elmstorm caught the slimy amphibian in his jaws, returning back to the patrol after properly dispatching it.
