Training Time! (C)

Lighttail sighed contentedly as she padded through the territory, a little black apprentice in tow. The weather today was just about perfect, and they soon reached the clearing she had in mind. “All right,” she purred. “Newtpaw, what do you know about fighting so far? I know you haven’t trained yet, but I’m sure you’ve wrestled with the other kits a little.”

The little black kitten kept a leisurely trot on Lighttail's heels, her copper eyes wide and curious as she observed for the first time the forest outside the camp's walls. She imagined that she'd be taken on a tour of the territory, but instead, her mentor asked her about fighting.

Fighting? She tilted her head, flicking her gaze to land on the older cat's form ahead of her. "I know how to wrestle," she told Lighttail. She wrestled around with her sister often enough - never seriously, but enough to give her some experience.
