The Warrior You Are [Closed]

Kestrelchirp led his daughter and apprentice to their favorite spot- the flower fields. Surely his daughter would soon be getting her warrior name and he wanted to be sure she was ready. Slowing to a halt, the orange tabby entered a beautiful small circle of with a wall of wild flowers all around them. A perfect spot for his perfect daughter to train. His heart glowed every time he thought about his mate and his children - he was so proud of them all. Finally, he turned to the apprentice with warm eyes.

"Soon, you will be a warrior, and I am so proud of you and everything you have accomplished. Will you spare a spar with your father? Be easy on me, I'm getting old." He teased, bumping her lightly with his shoulder. With a lick upon her head, Kestrelchirp assumed a relaxed waiting position, inviting his daughter to make the first move.

The molly admired the ring wild flowers that encircled them. It looked exactly like the kind of place she would see two leaders fighting in. In that moment Gorsepaw realized why they had come here, and her smile dropped to a frown. She hated having to fight, but... But if Kestrelchirp was here, she'd have to give it her all. She didn't want to look like a bad apprentice in front of him!

Gorsepaw's head dropped the tom mentioned being proud of her. Proud. Of her. The same apprentice that had been found carrying beetles in her mouth, the same apprentice that got scolded on hunting patrols because she was "slacking off" when really she was just staring at an active ant nest. It felt good to be praised, but did she deserve it? Gorsepaw shook her head. "You're not old papa- I mean, Kestrelchirp! You're just lazy!" Kestrelchirp slipped into place. Stars, she really didn't want to lay paws on her father, even if it was a spar, but disappointing him by refusing would be way worse than having to hurt him. The apprentice let out a near silent apology to the tom before swiping at him.
