Awfully Familar, Aren't You?[C]

I wish I could go back in time; not to change anything, but to feel a few things twice.

Somehow, she was back at the SkyClan border. This time, however, she had come on her own, willingly choosing to settle down at the edge, flower crown grasped firmly in her jaws as her gaze searched the thick undergrowth, hopeful that she would find one particular cat. Honeypaw had been so kind to her, Juniperpaw wanted to show her gratitude somehow, but was unsure how. Obviously, she couldn't creep into SkyClan territory to pass anything to her, and the Gathering was so far off, that, well, it really only left her the choice of waiting at the border for the slight chance that the apprentice would come by again. She had even tried her best to pick out blue flowers to make the crown with; it would match her eyes, hopefully. Would Honeypaw even like it? And why did she care?

Unfortunately, it was not Honeypaw that came eventually. Juniperpaw couldn't hide the brief look of disappointed that flashed in her eyes, but it was quickly replaced by curiousity. It was another apprentice, who looked just about the same age as her, and, well, if Honeypaw had been such a nice cat, who was to say this apprentice wouldn't be as well? The black ShadowClanner puffed out her fur and flicked her tail in greeting, trying to appear as harmless as possible. She wasn't here to cause any trouble... once the apprentice was close enough, she greeted, "Hello! My name's Juniperpaw, and I'm the daughter of Sablestrike, ShadowClan's deputy. I'm not here to cause trouble, just, uh-" She fumbled, placing the flower crown hurriedly on the ground "-would you perhaps like a flower crown?" What a silly thing to ask, really. "What's your name, anyway?"
