Larkshine Tier 4 Warrior | Shadowclan | She/Her
Cricket’s chirped and Firefly’s danced around beneath the stars. Larkshine chased after the ones in camp. Their lights would flicker, and she would pounce at them with sheathed claws, open her paws and release them back into the night; just to repeat it all over again. She danced around camp until her clanmates were moving about.

Camp was beginning to grow lively with the appearance of twinkling stars in the night sky. Having sat at the nursery entrance for a while now, watching everyone bustle about, Cedarkit was pleasantly surprised to be approached by Larkshine with the prospect of a mock battle. He'd never really done one before, especially with someone older than he was. After all, his siblings were all girls and he never wanted to be rough with them. He wasn't sure why Larkshine had chosen to ask him. Perhaps it was his burly body. "O-kay... right now?" he asked, stumbling after the warrior.

Greenleaf had proved itself temperamental so far. Most nights were miserable, but some nights, like this one, were beautiful. It seemed every star was visible tonight, and Silverpelt stretched on for forever. The occasional firefly light up the camp, and he watched with vague interested from his spot by the camp's entrance. Though there was always a warrior guarding camp, the tom usually felt the need to station himself nearby. Just in case.
Amusement danced in his gaze, though, as a few of the more lively cats danced and played around camp. Though he'd prefer everyone was out working, it was okay to have some moments of reprieve - besides, if his mother didn't mind, he tried not to. She was leader after all, not him. So he let his whiskers twitch as he watched Larkshine play, happy to see his Clanmate in a good mood.
And then she marched over to where he was sitting. Smokeytimber sat at attention, curling his tail neatly around his paws. "I'll join! It's important to keep everyone's skills sharp, good idea." He shook out his long fur and went to stand in the center of camp. There was a kit, too... broad for a kit, but still tiny. Smokeytimber glanced around nervously. Was that allowed?

Swiftheart watched from a distance away, the chasing of fireflies was something she did from time to time as well having a lot of kit like energy still. She was one of the most experienced warriors of her clan and she still enjoyed most was just nights like this, where she could be herself and have fun. Maybe she could watch the practice spar between Smokey and larch.
She went over to the group. Oh, they had a kitten with them as well? She enjoyed graeatly getting to play with the kits of the nursery in little games around camp.

Rookfire was more than happy to participate in a spar. The black tuxedo quickly gathered with the other cats who wanted to participate, greeting each of them as he entered the camp. There was a kit there... Rookfire didn't think it would change anything, but he wondered why Larkshine invited him here. "I can't wait," he said, grinning at the others. He especially wanted a chance to spar against Swiftheart, though sparring anyone would be fun. Even little Cedarkit, he mused - though he'd probably have to go slower than usual for him.

I guess if the Invasion dice is successful Lark and Rook go first if it's not then Swift, Smokey and Cedar go first ETA: My bad I guess invasion dice don't work anymore so Even number = Lark and Rook odd number = Swift, Smokey and Cedar ETAA: I guess Invasion dice decided to work while I made the post. Oh well we're going with the effect dice

Lark and Rook vs Swift, Smokey and Cedar
Larkshine was happy that her clanmates were eager to participate in the mock battle and she quickly led them out the entrance of camp. She didn’t want anyone in camp to get hurt but she didn’t want to lead Cedarkit too far from camp either. So, she stopped in a small clearing where the entrance of camp could still be seen and Cedarkit could run to it if any predators showed up.
“Okay now that we’re all gathered it’s time to split off into groups.” Larkshine chipped as she scanned over the cats in front of her. Swiftheart and Rookfire were both older than her and either would of them would make a great lead for the opposite team. Then she looked at Smokeytimber and Cedarkit. Smokeytimber was just made a warrior and Cedarkit was still rather small, though he showed great courage. “Hmm Swiftheart, would you mind standing opposite of me? You’ll be the lead of the other “Patrol” ok? Rookfire you can come stand by me and Smokeytimber and Cedarkit can be with Swiftheart!” She purred with a toothy smile.
Larkshine took a few more steps back and had flicked her tail at Swiftheart for her to do the same. Once everyone was in place and ready she spoke again. “Ok Shadowclan, erm, we’re rogues and we’re here to, um, oh yeah, here to destroy your camp and eat your food!” Larkshine chuckled at herself but then took a step forward and prepared to fight. Her eyes darted between the three cats in front of her. She wasn’t sure who to attack but knew better than to hesitate either.
Quickly and swiftly Larkshine moved in and firmly bit Smokeytimber’s front leg. She was sure not to bite hard enough to draw any blood but firm enough that it would be sore for a few moments. She retreated quickly and got in a defensive stance ready for any blows that came her way.
Larkshine used Bite on Smokeytimber for -12 HP and -5 EP

Rookfire padded over to Larkshine's side as the groups were set up. The two of them were outnumbered, but Rookfire felt like they could win anyways. We just have to be smart about it.
As soon as Larkshine finished speaking, Rookfire immediately pounced onto Swiftheart. "Sneak attack!" he mewed, pinning his friend to the ground. "Us rogues don't fight fair, y'know?" He was more than happy to play along with Larkshine's scenario, and it was especially fun bantering with his close friend while pinning her down.
Rookfire used Leap-and-Hold on Swiftheart, dealing 8 damage and costing 15 EP. Swiftheart is pinned for two turns.
Rookfire: HP: 50/50 EP: 125/140
Swiftheart: HP: 62/70 EP: 200/200

Swiftheart nodded following Larkshine out and listened to the teams and the scenario.
She gave an eager nod liking this idea. Her and Rookfire should be evenly matched or close to it and Larkshine while more experienced than Timber would have to take on a 2 vs 1.
It would make for a close team up.
She gave a nod to her team "for shadowclan!" she meowed getting into the spirit of the pretend situation.
Moments later she was ambushed by her close friend and now 'loner' Rookfire.
She gave a pretend hiss back at him
he already managed to have a pin on her and she squirmed below fighting for space and to get him off and out of this.
uses duck and twist -10 ep
It worked!
She snuck out of his pin slipping away. She smirked at him playfully.
"is that all you have loner?" she purred bantering with her dear friend.
she got a good counter swipe in to for -7 dmg

Smokeytimber stood protectively in front of Cedarkit as Larkshine split them off into teams. It seemed fair enough - but a younger warrior and a kit against an older warrior definitely meant that his work was cut out for him. Even if they did have Swiftheart, she'd be busy fending off Rookfire. He thought for a moment. What was the best plan of attack? Well, he was no strategist - and as Larkshine leapt at him, he realized he'd cost himself the first move. Mousedung!
The burly tom bit back a hiss as her teeth sank into his forepaw, but the soreness eased within seconds. He was silently impressed; this was the molly that was training his sister, after all. Briarpaw had ended up with a fair mentor, then. "Get back, you, uh - you stinky loners!" Smokeytimber called playfully - he was trying his best to get into it, but he couldn't help if he took things too seriously most of the time. He took a deep breath, then cast a glance back toward Cedarkit. He'll be fine. They're not going to hurt a kit. The tom forced his fur to lie flat, then charged forward with one paw extended. "Er - take that!" He hit Larkshine just below the shoulder, sure and strong, but he made sure to keep his claws sheathed as he struck.
Smokeytimber used Claw, costing 5 EP and dealing 8 damage!

Cedarkit had just begun to take in his new surroundings as it was his first time outside camp when Larkshine assigned each of them roles. Swiftheart had joined the party, along with two other warriors he'd never interacted with before. Hasty introductions came with an infectious smile from the happy instructor. Rookfire, and Smokeytimber. Swiftheart he knew from her many visits to the nursery.
The ruddy kit did not get the chance to give an introduction of his own, but it seemed they all didn't mind. In fact, the battle came to quite the sudden rushing start. At first, all was fine, but then all of the dark forest broke loose with a war cry. Driven by the clamor of 'violence', Cedarkit was swept away in the current, forced to get his bearings. With a deep breath, he steadied the hammering in his chest. Planting his stubby paws firmly into the ground, the wide-eyed tom locked his gaze on Smokeytimber's pelt as Larkshine chomped on his paw. Oh no! "I'm coming!" he cried, pushing past the larger tom to slam himself into the attacker.
Cedarkit had a large enough build for that to be an effective move against other kits, however, this loner was not a kit. The impact into Larkshine's side knocked the wind out of him, but Cedarkit sprung back up and stood warily by Smokeytimber's side, praying that he had been of at least a little bit of help. Sneaking a glimpse to the older tom's face, he searched for any sign of validation with a hopeful glimmer in his eyes.
Cedarkit used Smack, costing 5 EP and dealing 8 damage!

Larkshine 44 / 60 HP (-8) 165 / 170 EP
