As Greenleaf came so too did the hotter days. Rapidfire had done her best to try and shift patrols to the early mroning or later at night seemingly to some of her clanmates dissatisfaction. Something she hardly understood. Why? Did they want to hunt in the scorch of the day? She glanced around camp as the sun hung high overhead. It was that type of day where whenever you were in the sun you felt energy zapping off you.
She hoped that the clan was getting enough water rn. Going over towards one of the newest warriors of the clan she flicked her tail in greeting.
"cloudjumper, congratulations once again on your warrior name" she purred in greeting. It seemed they had found some shade, a very logical thing to do on a heat day like this.
"how are things going for you, warrior life starting off alright, besides all this heat that is?"

"Rapidfire," Cloudjumper dipped her head in respectful greeting when the deputy approached, "Did you need anything?" It seemed there was always a patrol to be done, prey to catch, or work around camp. Cloudjumper met those tasks with enthusiasm however, still eager to prove herself now that she'd just earned her warrior name.
The congratulations for which was welcome, and Cloudjumper ducked her head, smoothing a piece of fur at her chest, "Thank you! It's been... Well. The newfound freedom that we didn't have as apprentices is nice. But I know there's still plenty of work to be done."
"I don't envy anyone with longer fur, that's for sure." Cloudjumper mewed, "But it could be worse."

(OOC: I rewrote this a lot trying to get it to sound right. It still sounds too idk cheesy or corny I guess but idk how to fix it lols, and I am trying to like show that she is like learning slowly the deputy stuff.)
Rapidfire smiled and nodded dipping her head in agreement about the heat and long fur comment.
She shook her head a no at the if she needed anything part as she settled in beside her clanmate - "Not currently no. I wanted to check in was all, in fact, I should be asking you that same question. Is there anything that we can do to help our warriors do better in?" she spoke for herself and the other high ranks respectfully in that statement.
She was starting to get used to this deputy spot at least she thought she was, and part of what she hoped to do with these socilization times was to not only get to know her clanmates and warriors better but to check up on them and see if she could in return help them out. She was begining to realize respect was a two way thing and she wanted to do what she could to best serve them just as they were their clan.

Cloudjumper blinked, a flicker of surprise in her gaze at the deputy's question. "Hmm." That wasn't something she'd expected, and the young calico sat in thought for a moment. "Checking in on the warriors to see how they're doing seems like a good start." She mewed, "Maybe set time for the warriors to spar with each other? It's one thing to be taught as an apprentice, or to fight off predators... But it could be good to keep our skills sharp, too." She offered hesitantly.
