Just Chatting (closed)

Rookfire didn't get it.

He didn't know how to place it, but Swiftheart and Sablestrike felt... wrong together. Rookfire had watched a lot of relationships grow over time, but this one... this one was different. Swiftheart wore her heart on her fur, but with Sablestrike it was... different. He didn't know what it was, but Swiftheart seemed... almost distant from Sablestrike, and it didn't make any sense.

"Hey, Swift!" he said, stepping towards her. "Want to go for a walk? Chat a little bit, maybe spar a little?" It was an invitation for small talk with an old friend, but also a check-in with her, just to make sure she was doing okay.

Swiftheart turned seeing her long time friend approaching and she gave a happy smile and nod at his question.

She did not know yet that he was questioning things. So far she thought no one would ever notice the inconsistencies of Sablestrike and herself and how they were really just friends and not actually mates even though they pretended to be mates to hide and cover for Heatherberry their beloved medicine cat.

She was in her usual high spirits and happy attitude and she eagerly agreed to anything that meant getting to spend more time with her clanmates, especially Rookfire one of her longest standing friends in the entire forest.

"Of course! I'd like that very much" she meowed running over to his side to join him on this walk and talk and possibly a little spar later on too. "How are things going for you? I feel like it has been far too long since we got to hang out" she meowed eagerly.
