| Sitting near the edge of camp in an even more sour mood than usual, Sweetheart kicked some dry leaves around under her paws. After her little "chat" with Sageroot, the young warrior had grown increasingly angrier, which other cats hadn't known was possible. Anyone who crossed her path got a sharp remark and all she wanted to do right now was be alone. And so she was, though part of her wondered if maybe taking a walk through the forest would be a better way to escape than just sitting here and practically waiting for some-cat to approach her. |

| Ew! Creating a language to sign with Sageroot meant that she learned MORE chores that Hopepaw hadn't known existed, like putting this bile on the elders to rid them of ticks. She didn't mind helping, of course. But the taste? The apprentice shook her head, sticking her tongue out. Gross! She bounded over towards the fresh-kill pile, knowing that even a rotting vole would taste better than that vile taste that lingered. She hadn't eaten yet, so...
Bright blue eyes caught sight of a hare. Hopepaw's favorite. It was HUGE. Whoever had caught this deserved appreciation. The small she-cat sniffed it, then raised her head to look around the camp. It was too big for her alone to justify eating it. Maybe some other cat would share...? Mother was asleep, and waking her sounded like a bad idea. No one else was around...Oh! Except that one pretty she-cat Hopepaw hardly knew. That was fine; Hopepaw loved making new friends. With a trill of glee, she lifted the heavy rabbit and pranced towards her soon-to-be friend. The irritated aura she resonated skipped right past Hopepaw, and the apprentice settled next to the warrior and dropped the meal between them.
Making eye contact with her, Hopepaw pointed at herself, her friend, and the rabbit. "Share." She signed. Certainly, her new friend didn't know Hopepaw's sign language. But it was more of practice for Hopepaw, with the bonus of a friend learning! ______________________________________ ✲Sleepycloud✲ || ✲Hopepaw✲ || ✲Lakekit✲ |
