Moosekit's tail shook behind her, her little brown paws padding the ground as she tried her best to contain the energy welling up within her. She wanted to run circles around the camp! She wanted to take something from an apprentice just so they'd chase her! And she would have, had her emerald eyes not caught sight of her silver sister. "Quickkit! Race me! Pleeeeease? Oh, pretty please?"

"Quickkit! Race me! Pleeeeease? Oh, pretty please?"

Quickkit's head whipped around at the sound of her name being called. It was Moosekit! And she wanted a race? Her adorably big ears perked up and wiggled in excitement. Oh boy! A race was waaay better than just mindlessly batting at the tails of passing warriors; they barely react, and that's no fun.

She practically skipped over to meet Moosekit halfway. "Moomie!~ A race sounds more than great right about now.~" she sang as she playfully rubbed her cheek against her sister's. So soft. She wished she had soft fur like most of her siblings, but alas, it was not meant to be.

"So how d'ya wanna do it?" She asked while rocking on her paws.

Oh, Moosekit adored Quickkit. She couldn't decide whether it was her sisters big ole ears, or that she matched Moosekit's enthusiasm for play. One eye closed briefly as Quickkit rubbed her short furred cheek against her fluffy chocolate one, lip curling on reflex of her long whiskers being brushed against. "Hmmm... How abooout... The first one to make it to the warriors den first gets to pick the first fresh-kill at every meal for two sunrises!" Wasn't really a high-stakes race, but there was no way Moosekit could lose; she had to be the fasted cat in WindClan, after all!

"We line up side-by-side, the same distance from the warriors den. And when I say 'go', we run as faaaast as we can, okay?" The kit backed up against the nursery's outside walls, waiting patiently for her sister to join her. "Go!"

Last One's A Rotten Egg with 'effect die':

Scolded by a warrior for running through cat traffic (lose): 1 & 2

Get distracted by something and stop halfway through (lose): 3 & 4

Make it to the warriors den in one piece (win): 5 & 6

As Moosekit explained the goal of their race, Quick's eyes got progressively brighter. Oh boy! It'll be so much fun! She sure hoped she'd win, cause it'd be weird but funny if she was the slowest of the two while having a name like Quickkit.

Once Moosekit finished, the silver-furred kit nodded her head firmly. "Okay! Got it!" She offered Moosekit a grin. "Let's both do our best!"

She then followed her sister's lead and backed up against the nursery, her whiskers twitching eagerly. Moomie was going down! Um...hopefully?

The kitten tensed up her muscles and wiggled her rump as she anxiously waited for the 'go'. There was a moment of silence before she heard it, and they were off!

Quickkit was making good progress! She could see the den only a few more tail-lengths away and it seemed like she was a whisker-length ahead of Moomie! Unfortunately, that good luck would not last.

She had been so focused on the race that she had not realized that a warrior was stepping in front of her path carrying a rabbit. The kit only noticed at the last second and it had been too late to swerve.

"Oof!" She bowled into the warrior's forelegs causing them to drop their prey and nearly take a tumble. She rolled to a stop, somewhat dizzy but shook it off. However, before she could get back into the race, the warrior stopped her in her tracks by blocking her path.

"H-Hey! Please get outta the way! I-I'm in a race and I don't want to lose!" She whined as she watched her sister get further ahead.

Sadly, that was the wrong response to give and it made the warrior scold her further. When she grumbled about it being unfair and she tried to go around them, it led to the warrior placing a paw on her back to keep her there while they went into a scolding frenzy. That had her groaning while trying to block her big ears with her paws. So much for winning...

Quickkit has been stopped by a warrior!

Like a weasel through the moorelands, Moosekit shot off in zig-zags, her little feet keeping time with her sisters as best as she could. A cry of protest rang out, disbelief that Quickkit could have possibly gotten ahead of her signature super-fast-zig-zag moves!

Just when the warriors den had started to fast approach and all hopes of outrunning her sister felt bleak, a savior stepped into their path, a delicious rabbit dangling from their jaws. Her sister was forced to make a sudden stop when the warrior failed to move, Quickkit's words causing the stupid warrior to turn on her. Moosekit did not like that. No one but their mama and papa could scold them like that! "H-Hey! Don't you touch Qui!" In an attempt to zag at the warrior and remove her sister from their clutches, Moosekit knocked into a different warrior.

The race was lost to the both of them, Moosekit's ears ringing from all the yelling the two warriors did. A pout took over the usual excited, wide green eyes Moosekit displayed. "You okay, Qui? I hope they eat bugs at dinner tonight..."

Moosekit was stopped by a warrior!"

Seeing Moomie come to her defense swept away her disappointment. Her siblings were the best!

Despite now having two warriors there to scold the both of them, Quickkit's grin didn't falter. The appreciation she already had for her sister skyrocketed after watching her forfeit the win to come help her.

"I'm okay. Thanks for coming back for me, Moomie. You didn't have to do that," she meowed gratefully once she was free from the paw on her back. The warrior who had trapped her was now chatting with Moosekit's own warrior roadblock. What a relief. Their combined nagging was going to make her want to stuff moss in her ears.

Quickkit sneakily nudged the other kit away from the warriors while they had their attention elsewhere.

"I hope the bugs they do eat are extra dry, like sand!" she cackled in reply to Moosekit's earlier gripe. She then proceeded to bat her fluffy sister's ear. "If you were to eat a bug, what type would ya eat? I'd be down to try a worm. They don't look too bad. Kinda slimy, but most aren't so big."
