There’s been a lot of concern over how to handle the recent dip in the population of certain Clans, and after discussing how to approach the issue as a team we’ve come to a decision: as a one-time event, we will be temporarily introducing a single-use fourth standard character slot, referred to as a Bonus Slot.

This slot is entirely separate from the existing T5 slot, Perma-NPC slot, and Elder/Queen slot, and will function as an extra slot in addition to your main three cats.

The Bonus Slot will be available to everyone currently on site for one week after this announcement is posted (officially closing at 11:59 PM EST on May 19th, 2024). Just make sure to include 'Bonus Slot' in the title of your creation!

Unlike past iterations of similar concepts, there are no formal restrictions on what the Bonus Slot may be used for: unlike a perma-NPC, they may be part of a litter with player-character parents, meaning they may have more than one sibling.

If you kill the character in this slot/otherwise remove them from the forest (via filing a deceased report), the Bonus Slot will cease to exist.

As their populations are currently the lowest, we encourage you to consider using this slot to join ThunderClan or WindClan!
