Activity Check Revisions

While working to clarify and overhaul the rules and systems of WCC, the staff team has noticed that there have been characters on the allegiances that remain bold after missing multiple activity checks in a row. Activity checks are not optional - they have always been mandatory to keep the site functioning and ensure that clan rosters are both accurate and up-to-date. As such, the following rules will be implemented going forward:

• Late checks will no longer be accepted.
  
• Missing two activity checks in a row will result in characters becoming unplayable for the duration of the month they are removed in until they are submitted to a third activity check.
  
• High ranks that have missed two checks in a row will lose their high rank position (the Clan they belong to will receive staff support as needed). They will not regain the position upon posting in a third check, but can become playable again.
  
• Characters will be considered sick if they are removed from the allegiances due to missing a check. If a character remains off of the allegiances for longer than a month, they will be considered missing.
  
• If an unplayable character is brought back and another character has been created in the same clan with the same prefix, the character that is being brought back must change their prefix.
  
• If there is an activity notice made either before or within the time an activity check is open, the member it applies to will not be penalized for missing that check.
  

Everyone will start with a blank slate as of the next activity check (June 2024) to allow time to adjust. If you miss both the June & July Activity Checks, the new restrictions will apply.

Introducing the Lorekeeper Role

Staff is now officially introducing the role of Lorekeepers to WCC. For a while there have been a number of community-created and community-driven works and resources that are invaluable to the site, including Knight's Family Tree and the revival of the WCC Wiki by Xaandiir and kjSage. The Lorekeeper role is meant to recognize those who contribute to those works, with (eventual) discord badges and on-site badges to reflect participation!

The Lorekeepers role will consist of the Tree Trimmers, Wiki Masters, and a new, on-site role: Cleanup Crew.

Update the Family Tree - Headed by Knight, Tree Trimmers help update the offsite FamilyEcho tree.

WCC Wiki Project - Headed by Xaandiir and kjSage, Wiki Masters help compile information on characters and site lore onto the wiki.

Cleanup Crew

The Cleanup Crew functions similarly to the now-defunct mini-mod role - updating Allegiances and the StarClan Masterlist after Activity Checks, as well as currently helping to clear out stolen or site-breaking templates from posts.

To help keep things organized and ensure that those interested in helping get the recognition, permissions and support required, we are introducing applications for any of the lorekeeper roles, as well as establishing guidelines for participating in each role.

• WCC's rules and code of conduct are to be strictly followed.
  
• These positions are purely volunteer-based. If you will be inactive or cannot handle them, we ask that you are honest about this.
  
• Anyone found to be abusing the permissions granted by the Lorekeeper roles will be removed from the position, and barred from volunteering in the future.
