Emberkit was growing up to be a strong kit, with no sign of the sickness that had claimed her littermates and mother anywhere in sight. Tawnyshadow checked in on her daughter regularly, to the point that once the she-kit was fully weaned she had moved over to the Elder's den completely. Sunflare was around often as well, something she appreciated. Maybe this could finally be the family she always wanted to have. The tortoiseshell slipped out of the elder's den, gaze darting around the clearing in search of her daughter. It was almost sunhigh, and she didn't think Emberkit had eaten yet. "Emberkit?" She called out for her daughter, wondering where the she-kit had gone now.
