Blind Runner[C]

The loss of his sister had been hard on the plump warrior and he sad near the edge of camp, alone with his whirling thoughts. Why had she gone missing, was she okay, and would she ever return were common questions he kept asking himself. They were questions that would likely never be answered, but every night he prayed and waited for her to waltz back into camp unscathed and healthy.

In addition to the sadness and stress of Daisyfang being missing, his eyesight had continued to grow worse and worse over the moons. He knew he needed to go see some-cat for it in case there was something he could do about it, but he couldn't bring himself to go see another medicine cat besides his sister, not yet anyway.

Having been lost in thought, the sound of his former mentor made Molehill's short ears perk up. Sootstorm had grown busy with all of his duties being the clan's new deputy, but he always somehow still managed to care for each and every one of his clanmates, which brought the downed warrior a sense of hope. The dappled tom had always been so kind to him and he hoped that someday he'd be able to return the favor. He wasn't sure how, but he'd figure out a way to return such compassion that had been shown to him by his superior.

"Hi Sootstorm," Molehill mewed softly with a small smile on his muzzle. Lifting his head from it's once hung position, he met the deputy's warm gaze, though even with the tom standing right in front of him his pelt was more blurry than usual. He squinted a few times in an effort to make the image more clear, but his efforts were useless. Great StarClan did he need to get that checked out.

"I've been better," he replied simply, not quite knowing where to begin. He could of course go into detail on how he'd been coping the loss of his sister, but he assumed his former mentor had already hear the same from every other cat and didn't want to burden him with more sadness. "How are your deputy duties going?" The pink-nosed tom asked in an effort to change the subject away from himself.
