Cherish liked playing with the new kits that Leopardstar had. It was fun how the two of them had their litters so close together! She was trying to get to know each of the kits as best she could, as well as teaching them the special moves that would be useful for them to learn before the nomads had to move on again. Kits could learn things so quickly too—she just knew that they would be able to learn both while the older cats seemed to only be able to learn one. What was that phrase her old Uprights used to say? Can’t teach an old dog new tricks? Dogs couldn’t learn many tricks in general anyway, but she supposed the saying could still apply.

“Hollowkit was it?” Cherish asked cheerfully as she smiled at the little kit before her. “How would you like to play a game? It’s called Predator Hunt. You’ll try and hide while I count to ten. If you’re able to hide successfully, then you win! If I find you though…that means a predator got you and you’ll lose!” She smiled cheerfully. “What do you say? Want to play?”

It had become apparent to her that many of her favorite playmates were, in fact, not true Shadowclan cats. That had been a realization that had stunned her, in all honesty. They were so friendly! It didn't remotely stop the young kit in wanting to play with them. If anything, it just made it that much more special to get to enjoy their company!

As one of them had approached her, the silver-backed molly looked up at her with big, excited eyes. "Ooh, yes please!" Her entire body seemed particularly ready to wiggle itself into the next Clan. She was going to be an absolute beast fighting those predators! No porcupine or dog would get to her family!

Waiting for the molly to get into her position, Hollowkit forced herself to be at least mostly still. The moment she began counting, she went to find a spot to hide--particularly looking to find somewhere dark. She had a black pelt, after all! Once she tucked herself into the tree roots, she looked right at the molly with a big grin. Unfortunately for Hollowkit, her big, honey-colored eyes made it rather easy to see just where she was at...

Hollowkit uses Shadow Step, using 10 stamina. Hiding attempt unsuccessful!

Cherish grinned at Hollowkit. What an adorable little cat! Leopardstar really had the best kits. She nodded and closed her eyes. “Here I goooo~ I’m going to count now!” She grins and starts to count out loud. She can hear Hollowkit scrambling around. Once she hit ten, she opened her eyes. “The predator is on the hunt!”

She nearly didn’t see where Hollowkit found a place to hide, and she was about to call out that she did a great job, when she noticed the big eyes staring at her from under the tree roots. Cherish giggled to herself and then jumped towards the roots in a dramatic way to spook her. “I seeeee you! Om nom nom!” she clicked her teeth together dramatically and then laughed as she fell back onto her tail. “That was very good! Be careful of your eyes—it makes it easy for predators to see you in the dark. Want to give it another try?”
