Spread My Wings (solo)

Blazefang seemed scarcely to have dropped off to sleep when she found herself in yet another unsettling dream. She was falling, seemingly endlessly, into a deep dark pit. The light above grew smaller and smaller as she plummeted. She reached out a paw, grasping for anything at all, but her claws met only air.

Suddenly, a strange tingling began in her paws. Blazefang looked down to see her toes glowing a brilliant fire color. The glow spread up her legs and tail, washed over her face in a delicious warmth, and finally from her back a pair of beautiful glowing wings appeared that caught a draft and halted her descent.

She was soaring. Blazefang looked down at the forest below her. From the river, to Highstones, to ShadowClan’s marsh, it was all so beautiful. Finally, she settled over Fourtrees and found herself coming to rest on the Great Rock.

The instant her paws touched the rock, Blazefang stopped glowing and a clap of thunder split the air. The storm closed in around her in mere moments, and suddenly she could see cats of every shape and size gathering in the hollow. One by one, the cats crawled under Blazefang’s wings for protection.

And then she woke up.

Note: This is not a StarClan dream. Blazefang, however, will probably think it is.
