All Hail SkyClan's Resident Disney Princess
thymelight
No matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing.
Time recently had been moving slower than Thymelight hoped for. The threat of war continuously lingered in the air as the days and nights slowly rolled by, and the she-cat was unsure what else to do with herself other than her normal duties. Whenever she would take a brief leave from the stronghold of SkyClan’s camp to find herbs, she would notice the bright petals of flowers sticking out from beneath the snow and giving color to the monochrome landscape. She was unfamiliar with the names of a lot of the flowers considering that a lot of them only grew in leaf-bare, but she picked them nonetheless and took them back with her for her own personal stash to be kept away from the herbs in the medicine den.
Now, she had the den to herself, and she decided to get started on her impromptu project. She knew that she wouldn’t have nearly enough resources to give everyone in SkyClan a flower crown, but she decided to do what she could. Her brain worked at the same time as her paws. There were certain cats that she knew she had to save one for no matter what. Smokepetal, Wolfblossom, and Birdstar had to receive one for sure. Foxtrot and Honeypaw would have their own as well. Perhaps she could even make smaller ones for the newest litter in the nursery. Then she would make some for Bubblebeam, Sorrelpaw, and Ploverpaw. Any extras would be for whoever wanted some cheer. She wasn’t sure what the outcome of her gift would be, but surely it would help a little to give SkyClan a small bit of happiness before they were all plunged into the horrors of war.
Thymelight looked up quickly as the sound of pawsteps reached her. She hadn’t been expecting anyone to enter as she was rather unprepared to help anyone at the moment, but she was relieved when she noticed it was Ploverpaw. “Oh, hi, Ploverpaw! Is something the matter? Oh, stars, did you get hurt somewhere?” The she-cat asked, her attention shifting from the flowers scattered at her paws to her friend.
