Sandyshell was officially retired, but Poppyshine knew that she was still struggling to get used to her new role. Sandyshell no longer had to deal with the stress of warrior life, or medicine cat life for that matter, but Poppyshine feared that her daughter may instead be experiencing feeling useless to the clan. Poppyshine did not think that, and she was sure no one else did either…but she could not blame Sandyshell if she did feel that way. That worry was what brought Poppyshine to the elder’s den in the later afternoon.

“Sandy?” Poppyshine called with a small smile. “I want to show you something outside of camp. Do you mind coming with me?”
