Despite her previous isolation due to sickness, it hadn't taken long for Silverpaw to familiarise themself with the newer faces within ThunderClan. With few friends the she-cat had stuck close to Quailprowler and her family, who had been designated as kit sitters. The journey was long, and tiring with nothing to do, but talk and mope and prey that the lake beasts did not come for them. It hadn't taken long for Silverpaw to become acquainted with the kits, and she enjoyed playing with them - kits weren't as judgemental as the other apprentices and warriors they had discovered. She had a particular fondness for Finchkit, one of the kits she had scooped up as the clans had fled their new home. Unlike most of the days spent traversing the mountains, Silverpaw had awoken to a brilliant blue, cloudless sky. The bright sun, was refracted on the pristine untouched snow that covered every inch of the mountains, sending light rays skittering. The breeze was gentle, barely ruffling the silver apprentice's unruly pelt. The morning was a much appreciated break from the harsh element they had faced in the days prior, and Silverpaw didn't plan on wasting it. Nobody was owed time and peace, something the young molly knew all too well.
Silverpaw stretched out her long limbs, so so relieved to be able to move around again. Every time she awoke, there was a lingering fear that the sickness would return. She was lucky to have received the cure, but there were many cats in ThunderClan that were still unwell, Silverpaw would not waste the herbs they were given by spending such a perfect (for Leafbare) morning sleeping. Finchkit wasn't wasting for the morning either, Silverpaw could make out his form playing in the snow. They shook their head as they padded over "You should not be out here alone, Finchkt." she mewed in greeting. Her eyes swept over the landscape looking for any dangers - hawks mostly, but they were still on edge about the wolves. "Luckily, it appears to be safe." Green eyes returned to rest on Finchkit, looking the tom kit over. Everything was fine. There would not be another Twilightkit incident. Silverpaw smiled, finally assured all was well. "So, little one, what game were you playing? It is a nice day I would like to join you." she asked with a purr.

Finchkit
It's hard to be charming and smart and disarming It's hard to pretend you're the best
Everything had been blur recently for Finchkit. He was hardly awake when he was picked up out of the comfort of his nest, and he could hardly process what was happening. But the loud sounds had long passed, and it was very early in the morning, and Finchkit was eager to do anything to distract himself from the confusing and overwhelming situation. He had gotten to know a couple of cats outside of his family, the older cats were fun additional challenges to his games.
The morning was nice. It was like his first day outside the nursery all over again- except this time it was more unfamiliar to him. His golden eyes flicked over the snow, it swallowed his big paws as he stomped around in it. It was wet and it was cold but it was also fun to hear it crunch beneath his stomps. He'd raise himself up onto his back paws and then throw himself forwards onto the snow. The snow was easily defeated by the amazing Finchkit, completely crumbling in his path.
His monstrous reign over the snow didn't last long when a cat padded over to him. He knew this cat, Silverpaw, although she seemed annoyingly concerned for his safety. "I'm not alone, you're here." Finchkit grinned cheekily, licking the snow off of his paw only to put it back down on the ground, getting it covered again.
"I was playing... Uh..." He stared back at the obvious path through the snow he had made. The game didn't really have a name, it was more of a mission than anything. "Destroy.. the... snow?" He stared back up at Silverpaw. "Unfortunately for you, the snow has already been defeated, we'd have to play something else." Finchkit sat up a little straighter and puffed out his chest, clearly proud of the fact that he had absolutely demolished the snow.

"I am now." replied Silverpaw wryly eyes narrowing. Kits... she sighed. Had they been this troublesome? Silverpaw had no clue, she had never had playmates as a kit, everyone was too busy starving and trying not to die. Their time as a kit had been pretty miserable. Travelling, starving, almost getting blown off the side of these exact mountains by unnatural storms, very fun. Being apprenticed had been her saving grace, until she became sick and the misery took over again. Best not to dwell... Things were different, who were they to chide Finchkit, or scare him more? The wolf attack had been bad enough."You can wake me up if you want to explore next time." she meowed as an offering.
Silverpaw crouched down, getting as close to Finchkit's level as they could. "The snow looks very defeated." they meowed in agreement, looking at the trenches and gouges the tabby kitten had stomped into the ground. Yes, he done quite the job, the evidence of his efforts a fine white dusting over his pelt. Those clumps would be a pain to get out later though. "I do not know many games." stated Silverpaw "You will have to choose, whatever game you pick I know will be a good one."

Finchkit
It's hard to be charming and smart and disarming It's hard to pretend you're the best
The fluffy tabby tom-kit put on the biggest grin as Silverpaw confirmed the snow's defeat. "Of course!" He purred. "You're looking at the future best warrior in the world!" His grin faded as Silverpaw stated that they did not know many games. "Huh?" He looked a little confused, as if the idea of someone not knowing any kit games was just so far-fetched for his little brain.
He didn't dwell on the strange idea for very long, however, as soon enough he had thought up a game they could play together... or two... or three. "Well... we could play Defend the Nursery from the Kit-Eating Fox!-You'd be the fox, by the way-Or... Mossball! We could even play Tag!-But that might be unfair," he giggled "I'm really fast!-Oh! What about Hide and Seek?-Ah... you'd never find me..." So many games would just be too unfair for Silverpaw, Finchkit was just that great, after all. He stared down at his paws thoughtfully.
"Hmph. I guess Mossball would the the only fair game! I'm not too good at that one, yet."

Silverpaw stood up again as they moved to a less defeated area of snow to play 'mossball'. "Funny, you might have to get in line for that honour. My mentor Quailprowler is the best warrior in ThunderClan, she told me during my ceremony that I would be the second best warrior in ThunderClan..." she eyed Finchkit playfully as they walked "... So that would make you third best, until one of us dies. Do you want one of us to die, Finchkit?" asked Silverpaw in what they hoped was a teasing tone. Even socialising with kits did not come easy to the dry humoured apprentice. "Okay, how do we play Mossball? I'm sure you are much better than me, I have never played before." she meowed
