Bearpaw
Gender: Male Rank: Medicine Cat Apprentice
It didn't take long for Bearpaw and Sunfire to find the opportune time to pull Wolfblossom aside for a chat. His head still felt fuzzy from the whirlwind of emotions from the day before, but he couldn't afford to be anything less than perfectly clear-minded. It would be a difficult conversation, but if he and Sunfire could keep their heads, Wolfblossom would gladly hear them out. Regardless, he had nothing to worry about. She wouldn't let him down, that, he was sure of.
As a patrol pushed their way out of the temporary camp, Bearpaw spotted Wolfblossom and padded towards the fluffy she-cat. She seemed to have just finished delegating tasks to their healthier clanmates, so now was as good a time as any. For a moment, the brown and white tom hesitated to lead the discussion, but he was a medicine cat apprentice...so it was probably alright. Besides, this was his news to share, not anyone else's. It would be embarrassing if he needed Sunfire to speak on his behalf.
Rolling his shoulders back, Bearpaw strode up to his grandmother, expression grim and devoid of the usual laid-back nonchalance. "Wolfblossom..." He tipped his head towards her to briefly rub his cheek against hers before stepping back to gesture to Sunfire. "We need to talk about something. In private." The panic from before he spoke with Sunfire was nothing more than a distant memory, replaced instead with an eerie sense of calm. Anger later - this was more important.
She, most likely, knew that the ceremony had been a success, but he was certain that she was unaware of Starclan's 'greater plan' for him as a medicine cat. Even if his suspicions were correct and Smokepetal already planned to send him away, he doubted she had shared this scheme with Wolfblossom yet.

Wolfblossom watched as the patrol left camp, a tired sigh escaping her when she thought nobody was looking. Her was raspy, her head was pounding, and if there wasn't more to do, the deputy would have been tempted to try and sleep off this lingering illness in her nest. But there was always more to do, and always someone calling for her attention. There were ceremonies to plan, and weren't they the tricky ones, with SKyclan so short on healthy cats to mentor the new wave of kits?
Bearpaw, when he approached, was unusually solemn in his greeting, though Wolfblossom gently bumped her head against his, a purr rumbling in her chest. "Bearpaw? What's happened?" - This time, she nearly added, but refrained. Sunfire was also standing close, and the deputy glanced between them, feeling worry dig its way into her already pounding skull. Worry, and a flash of anger at seeing the new scars that crowned her son's head. She wasn't sure if she wanted what Bearpaw had to say to be related to that problem or not.
"Come on, let's talk." She mewed, turning to lead her son and grandson toward a quiet corner of the camp.
