The Oak family bonding (Open to family of Oak and Dust)

(For timeline reference, this predates the discovery of Dace's body and Daisy's moonstone)

As new leaves grew onto the forest around the camp. A large tom padded slowly into the clearing. His amber eyes bright and joyful as he padded towards a grey she-cat with numerous scars, and the cat next to her. A young brown tabby she-cat that looked so similar to her mother, yet a little like him as well. He muzzle softened as he padded forwards. A white flower in his jaws that he placed gently in front of the scarred she-cat.

"It is the first daisy I've seen all newleaf." He purred, nudged his head against Dustcloud's affectionately, with a rumbling purr. "It is vibrant, but not as much as you are." The sentimental statement was clear as he sat down next to Dustcloud, his gaze lifted to their daughter. Bright with love and affection for his family. "Daisypaw, how has your training been going so far?" He asked with a smirk. "I hope you haven't been giving Harefoot too much of a hard time."

Daisypaw had been relinquishing the nice day in newleaf. She was sitting beside Dustcloud when her father had approached. ”Training’s been good.” she mewed. Becoming an apprentice and training had really helped the nervous she-cat come out of her shell. ”I don’t think I have,” she laughed. ”But I never can be sure. You could ask Harefoot!” she joked. She knew that she tried her hardest not to hinder others, and her father surely knew that. ”How’s everything been for you? What about your apprentice?” she aske,d curious about how he had been. One of his apprentices has recently became a warrior, and she knew Icecloud fairly well, but Oakstar did have another that Daisypaw wasn’t very familiar with. She looked towards her mother, Dustcloud. ”How have you been?” she asked her mother, looking at her. Both of her parents lead pretty busy lives, and she wanted to know how they were doing.

Oakstar chuckled at his daughter’s words. It was true, he could just ask Harefoot… but "What would be the fun in that?" He asked, then sighed softly at the mention of his own apprentice. "Vixenpaw is a pawful, but she is learning. I have faith that she will be a good warrior when the time comes." He curled his tail around Dustcloud’s, gaze flickered to the various cats around camp.

It was a pleasant feeling, to spend time with his family. These moments came so rarely now. His gaze returned to Daisypaw. "You'll be on your moonstone soon, are you excited? "

Daisypaw laughed with her father, and listened to his sigh. She looked at him, she nodded as he talked about Vixenpaw. She had met her only talked her to a few times, but she didn’t seem like the most...kind cat. Daisypaw nodded as he mentioned her upcoming Moonstone. She was excited, but also mainly nervous. She was scared Starclan wouldn’t accept her, because of her heritage. ”I’m...excited.” she said, not very convincingly. Her doubts surfaced in her statement.
