Though she had been ill, there had been a brief reprieve in her symptoms. Slight as it was, the tortoiseshell had felt herself itching to do something for her Clan. Sitting idly by as she tried to feel better while Acornstem had taken the helm did not sit well with her, and so the moment she had the ability, she lept at the opportunity. Moving towards the best place she could find to call, Mottlestar yowled. "Let all cats safe from the bramble's thorns gather for a clan meeting!" Her voice crackled and was hoarse as she called, but she did it. Even as it ended in a coughing fit that nearly winded her to having to let Acornstem take over. But she was stubborn, and so she sat and awaited her clanmates to gather.

Larkpaw had been expecting this for a while. She knew Curlyfluff had not said anything to either Acornstem or Mottlestar-- her father hardly cared about them anyway. But surely they would have seen her improvement for themselves? She moved towards Mottlestar, but paused to let out a series of sneezes. She really should see Fawnshine and Echosong, when they were less busy.
