Come On, Let's Fight [closed]

Quailprowler stood a few tail-lengths away from Vinecrawler, another feral she had gotten out of touch with after they were kits. Her eyes were intense with concentration, as the two of them eyed each other up. Who would move first? A slight tail twitch... Was that a tell tale sign he was about to pounce?

"Don't stand there all day." Quailprowler mocked in their native, feral tongue. "The kits will get bored." She flicked her tail to clanmates gathered nearby. They were resting for the night.

Hoping her words were distraction enough, Quailprowler surged forward. Using her strong back legs, Quailprowler lept at Vinecrawler to strike him in the side and send them skidding. She met his eyes with a large-fanged smirk.

Quailprowler used Leaping Strike for 10 non-lethal HP and used 7 SP.

It was probably because of their size difference that no cat had ever asked him to foax brawl with them, making this a special day indeed. Rarely had he interacted with the other feral litters, finding it hard to mingle when they all seemed to choose the forest over their own heritage. Quailprowler seemed to lean towards the forest as well, but she still chose to speak to him in their native tongue... He quite liked that. She stood near his own height and weight, making this play fight feel as though it would be worthwhile.

She was quick to taunt him, earning her a direct scowl. In that time, she launched forward to hit him first. "Then let us not disappoint them." With her in range, he softly close his jaw around her shoulder, nipping her but never drawing blood.

Large fangs simulated an attack on her shoulder and she ripped it free from his grip. In a real fight, this would have drawn blood. Although, another feral was the only cat she wouldn't mind drawing blood. It felt more real to their heritage. Vinecrawler probably didn't even realize it, but she fell into the same trap as him. Crocuspaw was really the only other cat Quailprowler had ever sparred with while they were training. But Quailprowler wanted to flex her muscles, feel her strength. Maybe, terrify the other clans. A small crowd had gathered to watch the massive half-ferals fight.

With a snarl, Quailprowler used her shoulder to  knock her opponent off balance, immediately using the momentum and her weight to throw him to the ground and getting on top of him - pinning his shoulders down and using her back paws to press on his back legs. With a whack, Quailprowler struck Vinecrawler across the maw with one sheathed paws.

"You're pinned now, Vinecrawler. I like the view up here, looking down upon you." She playfully growled in their feral tongue with a smirk and a tail lash. Her heart thudded with the adrenaline of a fight. "It's a handsome face to look at, at least." To Quailprowler, Vinecrawler was a handsome cat, but his reclusiveness had been difficult to approach while she was focused on catching up from her training. Fat chance the appreciation was returned, but Quailprowler was okay with that. She didn't need his approval, or any other tom's.

Quailprowler used Leap and Hold for 17 SP and causing 7 non-lethal HP reduction. Vinecrawler is pinned for 2 turns.

He should have seen it coming, putting himself in such a vulnerable position to begin with. His back slammed against the damp earth, large paws pinning his shoulders and legs down with a slight, uncomfortable twist. A rumble passed through his body as he growled in response to her taunts of the view from high. "I hope you don't think yourself a God, Quailprowler." If he hadn't been paying as close attention, Vinecrawler wouldn't have felt the slight release of pressure off his limbs as she prattled on about looks. Whether she was doing it to distract him, he held no feelings for it. Battle was no time to flirt.  

Every muscle under his sandy pelt rippled as he took the opportunity to roll himself, successfully pulling a back leg free to kick her in the stomach, knocking her off balance and gaining the chance to remove her entirely. "Do not take me for a fool. Fight!" He huffed at her.

Vinecrawler successfully used Duck and Twist, dealing 7 damage and using 5 SP.

That slimy snake! Quailprowler hissed out her frustrations. "I am no God, but I am a higher power." She growled in Feral, her eyes narrowed as she planned her next attack. She needed to overwhelm him, push him down, and bat him like crazy. It was intense - the need to win. It was fantastic to fully unleash her strength onto another cat and have it matched and her wits acknowledged. Lunging forward, Quailprowler barraged Vinecrawler with heavy blows before latching her jaws around his lower neck with the small opening. Not hard, of course, but with a little more force than usual. Vinecrawler could handle it. Her adrenaline pumped... She must be wearing him down!

Quailprowler used Snap for -7 (non-lethal) HP and used 7 SP. She also used Desperate Blows dealing an additional -4  (non-lethal) HP and using 7 more SP.

Vinecrawler huffed in amusement, finding Quailprowler calling herself a 'higher power' one of the funniest things he's ever heard. There was a slightly... giddy feeling in his chest as Quailprowler lashed out at him with blow after blow. There had been no battle with any beast that held the amount of satisfaction this one did. A playful, feral growl erupted from him even as she wailed on him with heavy paws. When was the last time he held so much excitement? So much joy in such a simple faux battle? He really couldn't recall.

In the heat of it, somehow the sandy tom remembered how he had seen a certain grouchy russet warrior fight not long ago. In a full sprint, Vinecrawler charged at the molly with everything he had. Just before he got within striking distance, he dropped to his side, skidding underneath her and kicking back feet into her belly and throwing her off balance. A triumphant howl ripped from his throat at his victory! "Quite embarrassing for you huh, Higher Power?" Even in his celebration, he made sure to help his fellow warrior to her paws. "Well done. That is how a cat should fight! I'll admit; you almost had me there for a second." He beamed at her, a side of him he didn't even know he had in him. He nudged her shoulder, hoping she wasn't a sore loser. He would love to battle her again.

Vinecrawler used Belly Rake on Quailprowler successfully dealing 15 damage and using 25 SP.
