Cedarkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Once more, Wolfblossom stood atop the makeshift tallbranch, gazing out over Skyclan. Thin and bedraggled, but they were surviving. Hopefully, an apprentice ceremony would help lift their spirits, as another kit began their journey to warriorhood. "Let all Skyclan cats old enough to climb a tree gather before me for a clan meeting!" The deputy called out, searching for the kit that she had taken under her wing in the crowd.

Cedarkit smiled warmly at the deputy, sitting with the cats gathered around the tallbranch. The scrawny kit felt happy for once. Could it be... her apprentice ceremony? The thought and wonder approached her thoughts as more cats gathered around. Wolfblossom was a feeling of comfort to her. Wolf was the kindest cat to her, and whenever Cedarkit got a chance to talk with her, she was comforting. And anyway, it must have been her apprentice ceremony. It probably was. She was eager and excited for it, for moons.

"Cedarkit, step forward." Wolfblossom smiled down at the kit, "You have reached the age of six moons old, and it is time you become an apprentice. From now until you earn your warrior name, you will be known as Cedarpaw. Your mentor will be Stormwatcher." The tom was like a younger brother to her, and he'd been slowly becoming a more responsible cat. He had trained Stoneheart well, and Wolfblossom trusted that he would train Cedarpaw to the best of his abilities.

Stormwatcher galnced upward as Wolf wanted some meeting.  He sighed a bit and gave his 'older sister' that classic look that younger siblings give.  You know the one.

Sitting he perked his ears, oh an apprentice ceromony, well that would be good the clan always needed that and all.  He was about to get up and walk off when his ears twitched all over the place as HIS name was called.


He stood dazed a bit and for a moment his jaw dropped before he slammed it back shut.

OHHH that sister of his!! he gave her a stink-eye that she knew was just playful but still... she was really after him giving him another apprentice.  Well humph!! he would pretend not to like it even though deep down they both knew it was good for him and as hard as it was for him to admit... he did like having an apprentice to train.  


He went over to Cedarkit who he had met briefly before and nodded to the much skinnier and smaller kit.  He would do what he could to be a good mentor to her even if he might not always be the most straight forward in how he felt inside.

"Congrats on the new name cedarpaw. Your first task as an apprentice is gonna be to put a stink bug in wolf's nest alright" he meowed jokingly wrapping his big fluffy warm tail around the new apprentice.
