A lil family

Eaglefly sat alone in camp. Looking up he spotted kestrelchirp a bit away. He had always sort of considered kestrel to be the unofficial leader of their siblings. He always seemed to know what to do and eagle was happy enough to follow his lead for the most part. With sparrow gone missing now and little chance of her return they probably needed to watch one another’s backs now more than ever.

Hmm and there was “mr happy” as eaglefly had nicknamed his grumpy brother Jay. Eaglefly smiled a bit, getting on jays nerves just the right amount was fun. Not in a mean way, but in a way that let Jay know how much he was loved.

He went over to his brothers his usual jestful way. If kestrel was the groups leader, and Jay was the groups grump… who was he? Perhaps he was the mood lightener? He would be the one to pull some dumb prank on someone. Doing just about anything for a laugh he was the goofy one of the group.


Hey Jay, what do you call a cat with no tail?? he meowed going over to them

Jayfrost has been lingering at the camp's edge, wistfully observing his clanmates as they seemed to drag themselves to their dens. They were pathetic, but the tom couldn't say that he felt any different himself. His fur bristled at every hunger pang, angry but with no outlet for his anger. No act of violence would fix this problem.

The tom did not look at Eaglefly when he approached, but flicked his ear in his direction. "What, Eagle." The tom's tone was unamused, but not aggressive. He never really found any of his brother's jokes funny, but he'd entertain them anyways.
