Subject: Owl and Swan [Owlcall] Sun 1 Oct 2023 - 14:25
Swanpaw stalked into camp after an unsuccessful hunting patrol, tail lashing behind her. She shouldn't have been embarrassed, she knew, because everyone was having trouble hunting... But her fur still burned with indignation. She felt like she owed it to Riverclan to catch something, and yet hours in the overcast territory yielded nothing.
Some clan cat she was.
With another disgruntled twitch of her tail, the pale apprentice slunk toward the reeds at the edge of camp, finding a corner out of the way to sit and avoid catching sight of the unnervingly tiny fresh-kill pile.

Owlcall had been taking a break in camp from his own patrols when he had noticed Swanpaw stalk into camp. Blue eyes followed the apprentice on her path noting that something was certainly bothering her. He was certain that the issue was probably with the lack of hunting but he still couldn't let her stew in silence. The brown warrior stood and followed after the irritated apprentice. "Swanpaw?" The warrior said, looking at the apprentice.

Wrapped up in her own thoughts, Swanpaw jumped slightly when Owlcall spoke her name. She'd hoped nobody would notice her slinking off to pout in a corner, but today was her unlucky day, it would seem. Though she also knew the thought was unfair to her brother. "Hi, Owlcall." Trying to inject cheer into her voice was difficult, with recent events. And now the clan was starving and she couldn't catch prey. What use was she? "What's up?" She asked before Owlcall could ask about how she was doing.
