Wigglepaw trotted along behind Cloudychase, his sister, Crocuspaw, at his side. He smiled brightly back at her, seemingly unconcerned with whatever training Cloudychase had in mind for them. While some cats were concerned or annoyed with Cloudychase's treatment of him, Wigglepaw didn't care much. In his mind, the white warrior's treatment only served to make him a stronger warrior - something Wigglepaw hadn't been particularly concerned with when he first became an apprentice. Nodding seriously, Wigglepaw dipped his head to Cloudychase before padding dutifully to the opposite end of the clearing to mirror Crocuspaw.

Goofing off never went over well with Cloudychase around, as he had learned during his first day of training with the white tom. Playing was for downtime, while training, he had to stay focused! The dusky brown tom offered Crocuspaw a small smile, though, and flicked his tail. He hadn't thought to warn her of Cloudychase's dislike for their language. Well, he was unlikely to say anything to her - she was Mottlestar's apprentice after all. "Yes. May the best win." Regardless, he still needed to be on his best behavior which meant no feral - not while Cloudychase was around.

Wigglepaw lowered his body into a crouch, his ears pinned cautiously against the back of his head. Was he supposed to make the first move? Seeing as Crocuspaw hadn't, it was up to him. He couldn't keep Cloudychase waiting after all. With a playful growl, the large tom ran toward Crocuspaw and pushed off with his hind legs, sending him head-first into the other apprentice with paws outstretched. Both of them went sprawling to the ground and Wigglepaw looked up at Cloudychase - was he watching?

In his excitement, Wigglepaw hadn't even noticed that Crocuspaw rolled right with him, landing softly on the ground and getting right back up with ease. He tore his gaze from Cloudychase, shocked by her dexterity, and gracelessly staggered to his paws. He stumbled back as she lashed out toward him and blinked, shocked, as her attack just barely missed. Neither were particularly impressive, but perhaps it was just because they were both still recovering from that tumble. Yes, that was what he was going with. Smiling, Wigglepaw pressed his ears against his skull, eyes glimmering.

Despite her seamless recovery, he hadn't missed Cloudychase's little nod of approval. It wasn't often that the white warrior had a reason to be proud of him, so Wigglepaw couldn't help the burst of joy at having finally done something right! In the back of his mind, he couldn't help but hope she would let him win. Not for any vain reasons, rather, he honestly just wanted to make Cloudychase proud. Wigglepaw grinned at his mentor before returning his attention to Crocuspaw - he had to win!

With a playful growl, the spotted tom wiggled his haunches and swiped his paw against the side of Crocuspaw's face. In a battle against an enemy, he wouldn't be worried about where to hit them - so he would try not to feel too bad about smacking his sister across the face. Or feel guilty about what he was going to do next. Rearing onto his hind legs, Wigglepaw brought both paws down atop the other apprentice's head, slamming her chin into the leafy ground. Fortunately for her, the leaf-litter should ensure that she wasn't hurt too badly - just a little shocked...hopefully.

Wigglepaw backed away from the she-cat, his head low to the ground. She was okay, right? This was just a mock battle, so he didn't want to actually hurt her. It was just hard to decide exactly how rough to be. Obviously, he wouldn't treat the smaller apprentices like this, but Crocuspaw could take it! She was tough like him! Either way, that ought to appease Cloudychase - at least for a little while. He wasn't so great at hunting, so maybe fighting would be his strong suit?

Wigglepaw used Front Paw Strike in combination with Thunderous Stomp, Dealing 6 (+1) HP at the cost of 7 (+10) SP. Crocuspaw is stunned for 1 turn!

Wigglepaw blinked down at Crocuspaw, hardly comprehending what was happening as she was swiftly back on her paws, a fire of determination ablaze in her eyes. He hadn't expected her to recover so quickly, but that had clearly been a mistake! His sister wasn't like the others - she was strong and so so admirable! A glint of adoration lit the brown tom's eyes before, suddenly, her paw swept across his face...hard. He shouldn't have been surprised by the sheer force behind the blow, she herself had said not to go easy on each other.

Regardless, the swiftness of her counter-attack had startled him. Reeling slightly, Wigglepaw shook his head to regain his bearings and tried to ignore the pounding of his head. Thoughts moving too fast to fully comprehend, the tom did the first thing he could think of and snapped at Crocuspaw with open jaws. He angled his head to the side of the she-cat's neck and bit down on the middle ground where her scruff met flesh. The feeling of fur and skin in his jaws definitely wasn't a pleasant one...

Quickly, so as not to actually draw blood, he released his sister and drew back, eyeing the area to make sure she was okay. Thankfully, using the broad, flat teeth seemed to help ensure that he hadn't shed any blood, but it would likely leave a considerably sized bruise. He didn't like the idea of that. Sure, it was important to know how to defend yourself, but fighting seemed so unnecessary and brutal, especially when his claws and teeth were aimed at his own kin.

Wigglepaw used Snap, Dealing 6 HP at the cost of 7 SP.
