Skyclan Newsletter | September 2023
Welcome to the Skyclan newsletter! These newsletters will be posted on the 1st of every month, and will recap important events and announcements pertaining to Skyclan, including signal-boosting ceremonies and open threads. If you have suggestions for either the newsletter or something you would like to see more of in Skyclan, don't hesitate to reach out to the clan's High Ranks on the forum or through discord!
Chronological links to important threads related to Skyclan's clanwides, role in sitewides, clan meetings, etc, with a brief explanation of what's going on. Characters should probably be aware of these things in RP.
Current Happenings As green-leaf starts to burn out, the trouble that's stirred the rest of the forest has finally reached SkyClan's borders. A pack of foxes invaded our camp, leaving many wounded-- particularly recently-declawed Bloodstrike, who one of the foxes seemed to have a grudge against.
A few days after the invasion, Bloodstrike awoke in the medicine den. Mind rattled by his impact with a rock and believing himself to be a prisoner of the Asylum again, he lashed out at the cats in the den with him, ready to kill before he was mercifully slain by Beechfang.
Meanwhile, Birdstar's chance encounter at the Final Oak resulted in the loss of her second life at the paws of her sister, Trufflesnap. Wolfblossom found her shortly after she awoke from death, and the two immediately left for ThunderClan. With Mottlestar's agreement, Trufflesnap was put to death, though not without leaving a mark on Wolfblossom.
Green-leaf is starting to end. As the heat gradually wanes and prey starts preparing for the oncoming cold seasons, SkyClan may start to notice their considerable force of numbers can be as much of a curse as it is a blessing.

Open Thread Listing Out For Blood - Bearpaw is going hunting! Join him while he mulls some interesting thoughts. complacent with the decisions you've made - Birdstar has called a Clan meeting following the tumultuous day of Trufflesnap's execution. Little Birds - Stoneheart spends time with her new daughter, Kestrelkit, outside the nursery. Farewell Forever - Bloodstrike awoke in a rageful haze following the battle with the foxes, and has since been put down by Beechfang. A patchy day - Patchdream and Stormwatcher spend some time fixing up the nursery.
