Si have never been a calm blue sea, i have always been a storm
Sleepyhollow had felt just as her name suggested - hollow. It had been the announcement of her taking on a new apprentice to clear the fog that surrounded her. After her father stepped down she felt like she was living as a shell of her old self. Her paws moved out of necessity and not out of her own volition.
It wasn't supposed to be like this. She had lived in a perfect bubble, her daddy was the leader, her brother was alive, and her best friend...oh..Russetrye.
Everything she loved was falling apart and without them, she didn't know who she was or what she stood for. When she was entrusted with the mentoring of Duskpaw she decided she wouldn't let herself just waste away. Her thin bony frame had lost a lot of its muscle, her pelt had lost its shine, Sleepyhollow was determined to get it back.
The warrior woke up at the crack of dawn to collect Duskpaw from the apprentice den, the thin brown tabby reminded her so much of Vulturepaw, her bright outlook on life, and sickly kithood. She shook her head trying to rid herself of the comparison. She isn't Vulturepaw.
As anyone started their apprenticeship, a tour of the territory was customary.
Sleepyhollow brought Duskpaw around the territory, showing her the borders, the tunnel entrances, and last but not least, the Flower Field.
"And this is the Flower Field, the rabbit warren entrance is here, so it's prime hunting ground." she informed her apprentice.

Duskpaw’s paws dragged a tiny bit as she followed her mentor through the territory. Oh, she wanted to be here, more than anything, but moons of disuse had weakened her muscles. This was her life, though, and the tabby held her head high. She wasn’t about to let her silly body get in the way of enjoying today! It was time to be awesome! Her expression only grew more wondrous with every new sight Sleepyhollow showed her. Who knew there was so much world out there to explore?
“All right!” she chirped, eyes already scanning for prey. “How do we start?”
