| The moon, in preparation to rise, sent out flourishes of its insects and cicadas into the night.
The loud whirring of the crickets and other fluttering creatures made Lichenkit's ears flick as he lay in his nest.
Lichenkit sat up, restless. He couldn't sleep, there were too many sounds and too many things to look at.
He left his nest quickly and quietly, making his exit.
After exiting the nest, he noticed the bugs that were lingering around closer to the ground. His eyes darted around, looking for a target. "A moth? A mosquito? Or maybe-" He thought to himself. Wasting no time, he darted after a small lizard for a few bounds until it slipped into a hole in the ground. He whipped his tail around, annoyed that he missed out on a good catch. Of course there were other inhabitants of these woods that he could go after, and so he began searching around camp for other things that he could actually catch.
Out of the corner of his eye he spotted something small, moving around the sky giving off light. Quietly he tucked his legs under him and prepared to launch himself at this strange glow. He paused, sitting down. He sat there, pondering what that small light could be. He wasn't entirely sure, but perhaps he could ask one of his clanmates as to what it may be.
