Hunting a little storm (c)

Littleflower looked outside the warrior den before quickly, well as fast as her bad leg could go, went to the camp entrance. She didn't want anyone to stop and talk to her but she still had to get her duties done. One littleflower got to the entrance she did a big sigh before sitting down to wait for storm watcher. She enjoyed his company more than normal as she trusted him with her life and only a few cats could do that to her. Littleflower ♡ Skyclan

Stormwatcher stretched and yawned as he slowly blinked awake. Oh no!! It was his day for morning hunt patrol! He groaned in agony at the thought of having to leave his warm cozy nest and go out into the cool forest.

He grumbled to himself quietly as he got up and went over to the entrence.


His mood was emedietly improved upon seeing his good friend littleflower though. Oh … well if he got to go with her today maybe early shift was not so bad at all. He even managed a smile and friendly wave which was almost unheard of for him this early in the day.

Morning littleflower he greeted in a low whisper as he gave a final stretch to shake off the sleepiness

Hmm ready to go catch some breakfast?

The big warrior had to lean in a little to catch the quite response.  His friend had been quieter ever since the fox attack and he remembered what she had said to him and whin afterwards. She was scared and jumpy of things now.

He reminded himself to be slow and careful with his movements around her.  He did not want to upset her or spook her any worse than she was already.

He blinked unsure exactly what to do but ended up giving a slow sympathetic nod.  "uhh lets go just a little ways out.  We dont have to go super far from camp." he suggested.

He wanted to be close to home in case any unexpected things did happen.

"I'll take lead, just stay close to me" he offered walking out of the camp and looking around the tall forest trees.


He spotted a squirrel in a tree up ahead and sneakily he climbed up the other side of the tree hoping the squirrel wouldnt see his approach from that.

Stormwatcher tries to catch a squirrel for -3 sp rolling dice...


Stormwatcher was about to jump on the squirrel when loud sound of something flapping made him look up to see a big owl swooping down at him from higher up in the tree.

He didnt have time to respond or time to put any blocking paws up since all his paws were being used to hold onto the tree.

The owl clawed at him with its talons and he hissed at it. The attack had loosened his grip on the tree and he was sent falling back down to the forest floor.

Luckily, he landed on his paws with a sharp thud but it knocked the wind out of him.

"owwww" he muttered under his breath faintly.


Owl uses swoop on stormwatcher for 9 dmg and 15 sp

The owl was coming back but this time he was ready as he leapt up to meet it and swiped at it.

Stormwatcher uses front paw strike for 7 sp and 10 dmg

The owl got smacked twice and it flapped its wings going back up into the sky. It saw it was clearly outmatched now with two cats and it already felt hurt enough. It was wise enough to not do any further attacks on them.


Owl hp lower than half and it retreated now

Stormwatcher watched it fly away and let out a relived sigh as he licked at his shoulder where it had clawed at him.

He looked to littleflower and tried to give a reassuring purr knowing that an attack like that unexpected probably had not been great for her.

"erm... sorry about that" he meowed with his ears laid back a little appologetically.

"Hopefully the rest of our hunt will be more quiet"

Stormwatcher looked at his hunting partner kill the mouse and nodded to her happily but kept silent not watning to scare away other things nearby.

He went over to her so he could whisper "hey good catch you" he whispered.


He kept close by to her in case anything else out here wanted to attack them but he also looked for his own catch to try and bring home for breakfast.

Seeing another squirrel this time on the ground he decided to go for that one!

He almost had the squirrel and was about to nip its neck when he got attacked out of no where as a raccoon jumped out of a bush to his side and bit him.

He was so shocked and in pain that the squirrel got away as the raccoon attacked.


"ahhh You have to be kidding me!" he hissed annoyed looking down at his smaller and agressive attacker.


raccoon uses iron bite for 17 dmg 30 sp

The big warrior winced in pain but turned and bit back at his opponent.

Stormwatcher uses snap for 7 sp and 10 dmg

littleflower looked at stormwatcher with an exasperated look. why was her friend just bad luck. Littleflower just sat back and watched, not wanting to help as he caused this to himself. she used too much energy beating her fear once, she wasn't going to do it again. Littleflower ♡ Skyclan

Stormwatcher glanced at his friend. He understood her not wanting to get into this.

"erm... hang on just a second I got this!" he grunted trying to shove the predator away.


The raccoon snarled and bit at him again

Raccoon uses iron bite again!

Stormwatcher hissed angerly at the bite and clawed back finally smacking the raccoon really good and sending it flying.

Stormwatcher uses front paw strike and knocks out the racoon

Stormwatcher knocked out the raccoon and panted heavily very tired from all this and he was hurting alot from it too.


"I just wanted to catch some breakfast" he sighed licking at his wounds.

Stormwatcher nodded catching his breath still and sat down next to her.

He was glad that he could make his friend laugh a little even though his luck had been pretty rotten this hunting trip.

"yeah maybe so, and besides I never say no to a break either" he chuckled a little laugh as well jokingly as he stretched out in the sun next to her.

He gave a sleepy yawn "hmm how are you doing littleflower?" he meowed sleepily

it was an open ended question but he did like making sure she was okay, hopefully her leg was healing somewhat.
