Sandyshell
“Bubblepaw,” the molly whispered into the den, yet seemingly too quiet. Although very anxious to disturb the other sleeping apprentices, Sandyshell quietly called Bubblepaw’s name again. She sighed in relief once receiving a reply. Meeting the young molly outside she said softly, “Sorry to wake you so early, but uhm, if you aren’t busy I think today would be quite a good day to travel to Highstones. Would you like to visit Starclan?” The medicine cat’s cream paws shifted as she waited for Bubblepaw’s response, bundles of traveling herbs ready nearby.

Bubblepaw could hear a soft voice cut into the middle of her slumber as she lay in her nest in the apprentice's den. At first, she thought it was apart of a dream, but when her name was repeated she knew that someone outside was trying to wake her up. She blinked a couple of times to clear up her vision as she awoke and quietly responded to the she-cat standing nearby, "Coming." Once the apprentice emerged, she quickly stretched out her limbs before greeting Sandyshell with a kind smile. She hadn't spoken much with the medicine cat, but she had a feeling that being woken up this early by her meant only one thing. It was time for her moonstone journey. Bubblepaw nodded eagerly, flicking her tail with glee.
"Of course! Thank you for taking me. I'm sure these constant moonstone trips must get a bit tiring after a while." The she-cat kept her voice low to avoid waking anyone else.

Sandyshell
“Oh.” She looked away with a shy smile, taken aback by Bubblepaw’s empathetic insight. “Yeah, actually, it kind of does…” she replied quietly, her voice accidentally drifting away. The tan tip of her tail twitched. Sandyshell returned with a bright laugh, “Well, that’s what these are for!” She gently passed the apprentice an open wrap of herbs- an assortment of bitter-tasting leaves and small white flowers. “Uhm, sorry if these taste bad, most herbs do. But you get used to them after a while,” she said before shortly consuming her own share.

Bubblepaw curiously eyed the herbs before lowering her head to lap them up. At first, she wasn't able to taste much, but the aftertaste that struck her once they were chewed and swallowed created an uncharacteristically disgusted expression on the she-cat's face. She quickly shook her head to clear away the taste. "Ack, you really weren't exaggerating. Well, it's alright. Anything to make the journey easier." Bubblepaw returned to her optimistic self as soon as she could. Now that she was ready to head out, the apprentice could feel her excitement returning. Who wouldn't feel immense excitement at meeting the ancestors? Hopefully they were kind. She still remembered how quick they had been to send lightning down during a Gathering, but since she hadn't broken any rules, then they had no reason to isolate her.

Sandyshell’s eyes darted around the open, rocky area. To her relief, no one else seemed to be visiting Mothermouth at the same time. Good. The moon was just nearly at the center of the sky now. Things were going smoothly. “Alright, time to go in. It’s really dark in there, so just follow my tail with your whiskers.”
After an unknown amount of winding, pitch-black tunnels, the two were finally spat out into the shimmering cave that hosted the Moonstone. “Pretty, isn’t it?” she mewed with friendly intentions. “Just lay down by the stone and once you’re ready, touch it. You’ll fall asleep so Starclan can meet you in your dreams.” The medicine cat settled herself down by the cave’s exit, eager to find some rest herself. “I’ll be right here when you need me.”

The smallest bit of anxiety bubbled beneath the surface as the apprentice followed Sandyshell through the darkness known as Mothermouth. However, before she knew it, they had emerged into the cave of the Moonstone. It was more beautiful than Bubblepaw had ever imagined. She looked over at the medicine cat, only managing to nod in agreement before inhaling a shaky breath. It was time. She padded forward before touching her nose to the cold stone. Almost instantly, she felt herself fall into a slumber.
Darkness greeted her for a few moments before she opened her eyes to see a seemingly endless field of stars. A smile graced her features as she rose her paws and looked around in awe. So, this was StarClan's hunting grounds. As she padded forward, she felt a sense of peace flow through her veins. "Wow... I can't believe I'm actually here." She exhaled, her eyes glimmering.

Cloverheart
"It is rather nice, isn't it?"
The peace Bubblepaw stood was softly broken by the sudden appearance of another. The star-pelted molly didn't appear to have come from anywhere: she simply stood where she had not been a moment prior, head turned to smile cheekily at the young apprentice. The bulk of her coat was pale, the color of dove's feathers, holding a sort of radiance from the stars that shone through it. Even the darker parts of her fur, her ruddy ears and tail, seemed a bit luminous in the glowing twilight. With a soft purr of amusement, she gave Bubblepaw a nudge and trotted onward. "It gets boring after a few moons though. Endless fields, endless prey, all the sun you'd want-- it sounds great, until you realize how boring lying around with a full belly is all the time. You'd think I'd like a break from the excitement."
Chuffing softly, the StarClanner looked over her shoulder toward the apprentice, ears swiveling forward to show interest. "Oh, don't let me just complain at you. You're not here to listen to me whine, even if that's what I'm best at." Taking a breath, she continued, "It always makes me a little sad, having to introduce myself... but whatever. My name's Cloverheart. I was RiverClan's medicine cat until last green-leaf, and you're probably lucky to have never met me." A wry chuckle rose through her chest and Cloverheart shook her head, idling in her own humor. "And you're Bubblepaw, expectant little warrior apprentice. Think there's any advice the cranky, embittered medicine cat can give you?"

Bubblepaw couldn't help but stare in wonder as Cloverheart revealed herself to the apprentice. The appearance of StarClan cats had always been a mystery to her, but here the medicine cat was, bathed in starlight as if she was a constellation herself. She supposed it was only normal for StarClan to know her name already, they did know a lot after all. She began to wonder if Cloverheart already knew why Bubblepaw was here, and if she was only asking her to make her feel like she had some control over the conversation.
"Well, it's great to have the chance to meet you now, Cloverheart." Bubblepaw began respectfully. "To be honest, I feel a little bit secluded. I adore my Clanmates and I love training so that I can help RiverClan, but I also feel like I'm doing everything wrong sometimes. Is being a warrior just all work all the time? Is it frowned upon to unwind every now and then? I don't know how I'd be able to focus without my walks, but in a time like this, taking time to myself makes me feel selfish." She confessed, shuffling her paws in slight embarrassment.
