Silverwing sat patiently along the Great Ridge, spotted tail idly tapping the edge. One paw step forward and she would find herself plummeting to what would probably be her death, but the view that this spot afforded was still lovely. The sheer drop reminded her of home, the gorge that had rushing waters far below laden with tons of rocks that looked to skewer anything that fell inside. Her ears perked as paw steps drew nearer and Silverwing greeted her apprentice with a sweet smile.

Her gaze was drawn to the scars on his pelt before falling back to the sight below. It was her fault that the tom had been scarred she knew, it was just the curse that her love brought. Every single cat she grew close to suffered from something be it physical or mental, and what had happened to Whinchatpaw and Littleflower was proof of that. She wanted to apologize to the young tom for bringing this upon him, for altering his life, but she just couldn't bring herself to do that just yet. Besides, he apparently had something he needed to speak with her about. That was more important.

The spotted molly offered Whinchatpaw an encouraging smile and a lick to the cheek. "So, you wanted to speak with me? I hope it's not a complaint about my climbing. I'm practicing, I swear! She mewed playfully. Grey eyes set themselves intently on the tom as she awaited his response.
