Whipping around, the golden molly was met with a friendly face and a nice proposal. She shot the tom a bright smile and nodded. "I'll join you, if you tell me your name first."
"Echopaw, at your service. Shrew..paw? I was there when you were born. I helped Blazefang deliver you although I didn't do too much, just gave her a poppyseed or two and some borage." the tom shrugged and laughed and pushed a mouse towards the she-cat.

Shrewpaw responded with a simple "Ew." The apprentice plopped down and took a bite of the mouse, speaking to the tom between chews. "So you've known me since I was born and never said anything to me? Bad friend!" The gall of this apprentice! "I could've been bothering you all this time!"
His smile widened as she called him friend - the part about him being a bad one going over his head, "Well, feel free to bother me whenever you like. If you have questions about herbs or need life advice or whatever. I can help." he responded quite amused at her reactions, for how calm Blazefang and Dayquill were he wasn't expecting their kits to have so much energy, it was nice to see Thunderclan thriving.

What an infectious smile! Shrewpaw could feel the corners of her mouth tugging upward, but she wouldn't let them form a smile! She was upset with Echopaw! The apprentice opened her mouth to speak only to choke on the mouthful of mouse. A quick swallow rectified her problem. "You don't know what you just got yourself into! My friends are friends for life, and I get lonely often!" Shrewpaw was already thinking of all the ways she could bother Echopaw. A friend that never left the camp? What a score!
Echopaw bumped his shoulder into hers and nodded in agreement, "Hmm then I suppose we shall just have to be lonely together, yes?"

"Nope! We don't have to be lonely anymore!" Shrewpaw returned a bump of her own. The tugging eventually won, revealing a bright smile. "Do you know about Birdclan?"
Echopaws confusions was blatant on his face, "Bird...clan?" he stumbled over the words as he tried to think of what that could possibly mean, "No. I know no Birdclan."

Leaning in close, Shrewpaw whispered conspiratorially with her new friend. "We love birds!" Obviously! "It's an invite-only club for friends that like birds, and since we're friends I think you should join." Green eyes stared expectantly at blue.
Echopaw blinked as Shrewpaw grew closer and whispered. A....club? He supposed he liked birds, but who didn't? "Uh, yes. Okay I'll join." he responded, what was the harm in joining a little club?
