Greenleaf Winds[Open Hunting]

Sootstorm took a deep breath, closing his eyes while the cooling breeze ruffled his fur. Only Windclan cats, swift-footed and closest to the stars, could run with the speed of the wind. The feeling of freedom, of flying with the wind-- how could the other clans possibly live under the cover of trees, blocked from the stars the sky and the wind? They would never know true freedom... He glanced back at his patrol, ready for his command to begin their hunt. The most loyal and steadfast warriors in all the forest, standing right next to him. What an honor! With a flick of his tail, the tom began the chase, his fellow patrolmates at his heels.

They sped down the slope, all focused on the batch of rabbits in the field below. As soon as his paws touched the ground, they were up again, bringing him closer and closer to their prey. The rabbits saw them coming, and darted away in an attempt to save their lives, kicking up dirt in their wake. But it was too late. Sootstorm lunged forward, jaws snapping onto one of their necks and breaking it swiftly. Blood dribbled down his jaw, but no life pulsed beneath it. He slowed to a stop, turning to face the rest of his patrolmates. The excitement of the hunt had dulled, but his heart still raced and his paws still yearned to move.
