Trapped Again [open]

Happens on the border of Skyclan and Riverclan territories.
On the map this event takes place west of 19 and south of 7.)


Sprucebark was out on a hunting mission. His hunting partner for the day Medowspring (NPC) was out sick for today and a suitible replacemnt warrior for her had not been found in time.

He was told to be extra careful since it was now a solo hunt which he had been to the best of his ability. The young warrior sniffed around trying out his forest hunting for once. If he was being very honest with himself the "trying out his forest hunting" was an excuse to not have to fish in the water of the river.

He glanced over at the river feeling a bit guilty that he a riverclan cat could not even think about the river sometimes.

His thoughts were shook a bit as the breeze brought scent of skyclan. He glanced around not seeing anyone, however this was not unexpected. Skyclan border was nearby and he was sure he was still on his land.

His head turned seeing something move the grass a bit away and he slunk down low moving that direction. It was towards the river which he did not love a great amount but he wanted to see if he could catch this mouse... or whatever it was.

As he snuck up however the mouse vanished into its little hiding place underground covered by some rocks. No way to get it now he sighed seeing the tail of the mouse vanish right before he could get it.

He glanced around he was now at a part of land that jutted out into one of the natural bends in the river and he was about to leave out the same narrow stretch of land he came in on when the trap was sprung.

Heavy pawsteps approached and before Sprucebark could even recognize the gravity of this situation he was face to face staring down a giant badger that had just cut off his only way out. On his two sides and behind him were the river and the only way out had just been blocked by the thing that was hunting him.

The fur along his spine all stood straight up and he could feel his heart race as he tried to desperatly looking around for any way out of this tight spot. there had to be something... maybe a fallen log he could bridge the river?? But looking he saw nothing. The badger bared its teeth also seeing that the cat had gotten himself into a trap with no way out except straight towards the predator.


"You have got to be joking me" he muttered under his breath as he felt his claws slide out of instinct.

In his warm comfy nest is where he lay. The sound of the songbirds singing overhead were welcoming, like a little luliby that ushered him and encouraged him to keep sleeping in. He rolled over happily once in his nest. This was the life!!

"Stormwatcher! you are late for the patrol!!" breezeboo(NPC) said pawing at his face.

Stormwatcher groaned waving his paw to try and stop breezeboo's paw from pawing at him.

"go away" he muttered slowly sitting up and stretching.

"ugh... what's there to patrol anyways? Not like anything ever happens on these thing. Its just some excuse to have us go around acting all official" he complained dragging himself up to his large paws.

Once he was a bit more awake he trotted along with his patrol. Everything was going pretty normal as they advanced. However he slowed down as the scent of riverclan drew stronger. "alright lets mark the border and get outta here" he muttered

He was about to head outta there when a flash of color caught his eye, glancing across the river he spotted a riverclan cat hunting a mouse. He watched more so out of bordem than anything else. The riverclanner was on his side so there was nothing bad going on. He knew nothing of interest ever happened on these things, which was fine by him the sooner they were done with this the sooner he could get back to his nest and continue his nice long afternoon na-

His head whipped back around to the opposite bank of the river as a large badger had growled and had now backed the Riverclan cat into a bend of land that jutted into the river in a nightmare of a trap.

Blinking he squinted his eyes... Why didn't the riverclan cat just jump into the river? Badgers could swim but were pretty bad at it from what he had heard... surely the bulky predator could not keep up with a riverclanner?

His eyes widened a bit suprised when the riverclanner was not backing down and looked to be trying to stand his ground against this beast.

"well now I really have seen it all" he muttered under his breath.

He glanced around and sure enough breezeboo(NPC) was no where to be found... perfect just peachy.

Patrols were always like this... 99% of em nothing happened... but that one time something did happen your patrol mates were off doing stars knows.

His claws extended into the soft mud below him. "stars just swim away fishbreath" he muttered under his breath watching anxiously.

Sprucebark weighted his options... he liked neither of them but as scared as he was of this badger his legs refused to even get any closer than he already was to that river. Not after what had happened to his drowned sister Minksplash.

He figured although grim the best odds he had was to try and fight past this badger... if he could slip past to the more open lands where he was not so trapped maybe just maybe he could get out of this in mostly one piece.


Letting out a final attempt of a warning hiss which did nothing at all he ran at the badger and leapt at it claws hitting as hard as he could

Sprucebark uses Jumping strike for 13 dmg and 7 sp

The badger growled angerly as Sprucebark landed on his paws again trying to back away before the badger could hit back. A large splash behind him made him lose focus for a second as he turned to try and figure out what that was. Did a fish just jump out or something? What in the world!?

That loss of focus was all the badger needed as it raised a huge paw up and smacked into the warrior sending him sprawling over

Badger uses Heavy Blow for 17 dmg and 22 sp!

Sprucebark yelped in pain as that had hurt alot. He breathed heavily feeling numb that this looked really bad.

His mind raced trying to remember the hunting schedule of today if anyone would be even remotely in the area... His heart sank not recalling anyone else scheduled to be out right now.


His heart sank further as heavy pawsteps sounded behind him too now coming from the river?! He spun around putting paws up over his head expecting that somehow another badger had somehow joined the frey. Oh stars no!! please at least let it be quick" he thought scared to himself.

Stormwatcher watched jaw dropping a bit as the crazy fish cat had decided to try and fight out of this. He shook his head exhaling not believing this. This was not supposed to be his business. A small guilty part of him wanted to just turn tail and head out. But the most of him would feel awful for doing that... Besides... hadn't some riverclan cat helped Falconmoon a while back? Storms memory was fuzzy but if he left now he was pretty sure that riverclanner would be badger dinner.

Shaking his head in disbelive one last time he ran as fast as he could at the river and jumped in. The big skyclanner was not a great swimmer at all as he fought his way back to the surface, luckily the jump had gotten him most of the way and he scrambled across the rest of the way till he got to the opposite river bank. Shaking a bit sending water all over he let out a hiss and ran at the badger yowling.

You cant be serious storm... fighting instead of getting back to nap? We need to have a serious talk when we get out of this... IF we get out of this a part of him was saying.


He smacked at the badger as hard as he could. His pelt felt icky he hated being all wet. This riverclanner owed him big time assuming they still had their tails after this.

Stormwatcher uses Front paw strike for 10 dmg and 7 sp

The badger growled angry it was shocked to see another cat but was not about to back down as it pushed Stormwatcher back having both cats now trapped together on the narrow strip of land.



Sprucebark looked up in surprise and relief as someone else was clawing at the face of the predator. "skyclan?" he sputtered over himself trying to get a thanks out.


"... sure, dont mention it" he muttered under his breath especially dont mention it to wolf or bird... If they knew I could actually do things besides nap I will get more patrols he mussed to himself with a sly grin

"Besides, with two of us we got good odds now" he nodded facing the badger

The badger seemed to be stalling as it just stood their blocking their way but not yet attacking... Which seemed strange until a couple seconds later it all made sense. As another second badger appeared as back up.


"... scratch that we are dead"

Second badger is not attacking this turn since it was late for the fight but will next turn round

Tinypaw knew he wasn't technically supposed to be out of camp on his own, and he felt horrible for breaking his mother's rule. But sometimes he felt like having the clan leader as his mother meant he had to be perfect all the time. He not only felt like crumbling under the weight of his clan's expectations, but also like he was falling far short of those expectations, especially now that Mistwalker was a warrior and Wrenpaw was training to be a medicine cat. He was desperate to prove himself, so he'd slipped out of camp for a solo hunting excursion. Not that it had been particularly difficult, considering there were more apprentices than the warriors could keep up with at the moment. He hadn't been successful in catching anything yet when he heard the sounds of fighting nearby. He quickly ran toward the source of the noise, his breath catching in his throat when he saw his clanmate standing alone against an angry-looking badger. His eyes widened in surprise as he watched a Skyclan cat jump into the river to help Sprucebark, though there was no time to dwell on the tree-dweller's usual distaste for water as another badger had swiftly appeared to join the first, facing the two warriors with a snarl. His heart pounded as he raced toward the battle, sinking his teeth into one of the badgers hindquarters and resisting the urge to gag as his mouth was filled with it's putrid scent.

Dawnfeather was a golden blur amidst the treetops, a loose ray of sunlight that had somehow gotten free and decided to take up residence in the spreading limbs of the old oaks that covered much of SkyClan’s territory. Today- today she’d decided to stretch her limbs. The fight with the rogue a few days ago had left her- shaken, in a way she didn’t like, and what better way to unwind than to tear through the trees at a breakneck pace? Her long feathery tail served as a rudder as she changed direction at a moment’s notice, following the distant sound of howling. What-

The golden she-cat came to a stop, holding firmly onto a thick branch as she saw a Clanmate- Storm…chaser- and two RiverClanners (one no more than an apprentice!) attempt to fend off not one, but two badgers! They were firmly on RiverClan territory, yet Dawnfeather did not stop to consider before springing forwards, cannoning into the second badger that the apprentice faced alone and grabbing its scruff in her powerful jaws, sinking sharp claws into the creature’s fur. This was something she could fight with no hesitation.

Dawnfeather used Scruff Shake against Badger #2, dealing 10 damage and costing 20 stamina.
