What are the duties of a medicine cat? : to look out for the well-being of one’s Clan, to serve as an in-between for the Clans and StarClan, to know herbs and their uses, to assist queens in kitting, to take apprentices to the Moonstone and (usually) accompany leaders there to receive their nine lives
What would you do with this position? : have fun.
on a more serious note, we have a lot of more outspoken medicine cats and I think it’d be real interesting to see a more ‘behind-the-scenes’ cat. Drizzle’s inability to speak might also drive her planned character arc of “i figure things out myself thank you very much” as she might not be able to communicate the specific wording of a prophecy, just the conclusions she draws from it. she’d certainly be more reserved and more prone to keeping StarClan’s mysterious aura intact instead of telling apprentices that everyone up there’s someone’s dead grandma. she’s also a bit scholarly, and I think that the more detailed work of a MC would really fit her.
(she wouldn’t attack someone at a Gathering, but she might murder them- only if there was a very strong reason to do so. she’s definitely a lone wolf in many ways and might not be the comfort a Clan could want, but she’d certainly have their backs)
Why you think you deserve this position? : I haven’t had a high rank in almost two years, and while I did go inactive with Hen, I don’t see anything in my foreseeable future that would cause me to go inactive. I post pretty often and am ALWAYS open for topics!
When it comes to Drizzle specifically, after her spat with Fernpaw of WindClan (spoiler: she lost terribly) she’d be rather worried when it comes to her potential as a warrior- if she could’ve called out, she could’ve been helped. This would give her more of an IC drive to do something else to serve her Clan- possibly leading her down the path of a medicine cat.
