Two Quiet Trees (Closed - Oak/Willow)

Oakpaw was just returning from an evening patrol with a fish in his jaws. The training was going well and he really liked to work but often lead to his state now: tired and exhausted. The young red-furred cat wanted to keep fishing but the leader patrol ordered him to go back home to rest. He didn't want to but he couldn't disobey his superior.

He walked to the fresh-kill pile and dropped his prey on top of it. Oakpaw looked at the prey with hunger but refused to eat and instead walked to the apprentice's den. The young apprentice felt that the work he had done wasn't enough and for that, he deserved to not eat tonight. Someone probably needs it more than me... He thought as he made his way to his moss bed and drop his body on top of it. His belly demanded him for food but instead, he distracted himself by grooming his fur, not noticing the other apprentices entering the den.

The chubby tom shifted his attention to the white-furred she-cat speaking to him. He quickly recognized her from the gathering and greeted her with a silent nod. Oakpaw was about to deny the offering, but his rumbling stomach said otherwise. Now Willowpaw will surely know he is lying if he says no. The young tom shook his head, confirming that he hadn't had his share yet. "Sure..." He quietly mewed to the she-cat's proposal. The red-furred cat was unsure of why she was speaking to him, considering that he isn't exactly the most chatty cat in the apprentice's den. Oakpaw wasn't one to stand up in comparison to others.
