❖ Blinking the blurriness from her green eyes, Briarrose slowly arose from within her cozy nest, a silent yawn escaping her as she stretched and groomed her fur to get ready for the day. Today was to be Honeypaw's first day of training and as promised during the young she-cat's apprentice ceremony, they would be doing some hunting. A content smile made its way onto her maw as she gently padded out of the warrior's den. She was excited to be training another young cat again. ღ

❖ There were very few clanmates awake and about—she waved to a few as she passed by them. The fresh Newleaf air ruffled her short pelt as she made her way to the apprentice's den. Once she got there, the molly carefully maneuvered around all the sleeping young cats as she searched for a certain ginger calico pelt. As soon as her eyes found their target, Briarrose walked over to her. She gently tapped the snoozing Honeypaw's shoulder and softly said, "It is time to get up, Honeypaw. Please meet me at the camp's entrance as soon as you wake up." With that, the warrior exited the den as silently as she had entered. ღ

❖ The torbie she-cat settled down by the entrance of the camp, two squirrels by her paws. She wanted them to eat something before embarking. Hunting usually required a lot of energy, especially when going this early. While she waited, she closed her eyes and enjoyed the serene atmosphere. ღ

Honeypaw was in a deep slumber when she felt a furry paw softly prod her shoulder. Honeypaw slowly opened one eye and spotted a torbie's pelt. Glancing around, Honeypaw wondered what happened to the cozy walls of the nursery. Oh right, she was an apprentice already! This was the apprentices' den. Yesterday she probably was too tired to really notice how big and spacious the den was.

Although there were nests scattered everywhere, it was still neat. The single ray of sunlight entering the den made the ambience of the den and the temperature quite comfortable. She shifted around in her nest for a while before slowly getting up. stretching a bit. Licking her pelt a little to at least appear somewhat acceptable, Honeypaw padded silently out of the den, not wanting to make a single noise that may wake the other apprentices.

Glancing around the camp, Dawnpaw tried to spot her mentor's silhouette. Not long after she glimpsed an elegant dilute torbie she-cat waiting by the entrance of the camp, two squirrels near her. Honeypaw bounded over to the warrior, tail swishing and amber eyes bright with excitement as she asked, "What will we be doing today?"
